Don't rent a U-haul from this place. The owner charged me for "optional" insurance. I told him I was covered to drive any vehicle through my insurance and he told me that he would need all my insurance information, would have to call my insurance company, and would have to re-do all of the booking paperwork. He knew we were in a hurry as we had 4 guys waiting for us to load the truck. A total scam! We were supposed to pick up in Santa Maria, but U-haul told us 2 days before that we had to go to Lompoc. They gave us a discount, that was then eaten up by the insurance. Dishonest business

If you need your stuff packaged then the service is good. However, I just needed to ship my package and ended up paying $185 for what would have cost $104 if I'd paid and printed the label at home, just like sending a package back to Amazon.
$81 bucks just for a printing a label is a little crazy. Perhaps a 75% markup on a $10 shipment is doable, but not on $104!
I Shouldn't have taken it for granted that they got a cut from UPS for their efforts instead of a large markup, I guess this is why the receipt isn't itemized, unlike UPS on line..

This man is so condescending. I walked in and he was training someone how to do something. Neither of them looked up when I walked in, so I waited. Patiently. Another guy comes in walks over to where the owner was training the girl, sets the package down and walked out. Still nothing was said to me. Finally I coughed to try and get their attention. He did say oh sorry didn't see you. I handed him my box to be returned to zappos (not amazon) and he says... "where's the label"? Linda the notary and the older guy at the front desk are very rude, condescending and unprofessional. Notary refused us for no real legitimate reason. We came in with 2 credible witnesses as per California notary laws require and stated we both had ID and she said "you have to know me personally and I don't know any people like you " in an extremely insulting manner. Like I know we weren't dressed for a black tie event but dang how rude. Went somewhere else and they did it right away With no issues. Wouldn't recommend this place at all. Fast, friendly team of competent professionals run the place. You can do anything there that you would do at the US Post Office, Fed Ex, UPS and more...combined in one place. Without the lines, the waiting and the hassle. From shipping parcels and sending faxes, to making copies and complementary computer use ... they do it all! They even sharpen knives! Awesome place!

I was very impressed with the owner (Bob)'s knowledge, attitude and friendliness. He was very kind and understanding of the issues I had with shipping out a lot of different packages. I did not find the owner rude or nasty. The staff was also quite friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend his services.

You know, I just called about getting my knives sharpened and Bob answered right away. He is always so helpful. I was actually supposed to write a review a couple of years ago, but failed to do so. Yes, I feel terrible. However, Bob again is always so helpful, along with his staff. They are always respectful and kind. His prices are great on his custom boxes, and to ship an item is always good too. I like how he lets you know what is the best way to ship an item, and when it'll get there. I read a review years ago that said "Bob is not nice to POC. That is not true in my interactions with him.

This place is always so helpful for all my shipping needs. From printing my slips to helping me tape my boxes, the older man is always so friendly and will go out of his way to assist me . This is not a full service UPS drop site. They do not accept or process Amazon returns using a return code. The owner is not rude but very curt. The guy in front of me needed one stamp to mail a regular letter. Charged the customer $1.00 for a stamp. No weighing. Very curt on the phone to another customer.. "make it quick".

The customer service here is downright atrocious. Might as well go to the USPS or UPS in town. Whomever the old guy is * he wears glasses and was working Saturday 2.23.19. He definitely needs to get fired or relocated. Historically I've always been polite in my Yelp reviews but Jesus Christ what a rude SOB! Never coming here again.

Total waste of time, the owner was like a used car salesman. Constantly told me stories about himself I didn't care about. Reassured me how good the store was, then couldn't honor the UPS quote. Tried to up sell me for a higher price with no explanation. Decided to take my business to The UPS Store down the road. They were very helpful and honored the quote price from the website.

They advertise there is a notary on premises which is completely false. When I asked the owner about the false advertising he stated the notary has to go where the money is. I suggested he change his ad and he said people wouldn't read it and it saves space. He started making excuses and was unapologetic for the misleading advertising. I will never go back to this place.

All in all, pretty nice and accommodating. They even open on Sundays as it gets closer to Christmas - just to meet your shipping needs. They have a notary on staff who, while she's not the fastest, is 100% ethical from what I know. Her fee is quite reasonable at just $10. Call ahead for her hours if you need docs notarized.
