I am the photographer behind Lori Black Photography. I'm so excited you are here and I promise you that you are in the right place. I've been a Lincoln, Nebraska and Omaha-based portrait and wedding photographer and videographer for nearly a decade. Wow! I can't believe I've been doing this that long!
A little background on myself - I am a former journalist who took photos for my career. However the portrait and wedding side of photography is something I feel I've become good at through a lot of self-teaching, online studying and practice, practice, practice! Personally, I'm married to Tony Black, a Lincoln schoolteacher and mad bicycling enthusiast.

I'm so happy you found me! My goal is to serve you by providing the most beautiful photographs you could ever imagine. One important thing to know about me is that I'm an extremely hard worker. I want my work to be perfect and I will do everything I can to make it so. Getting married? My philosophy is simple: I will work for you on your special day and will deliver on the promises I make.
That's a statement that I suspect many families make. Families are so busy, the kids grow up so fast, and all it seems anyone has are a few snapshots taken with smart phones. Getting formal family portraits taken is really quite easy. Send me a note or give me a call and we will set a date. Afterward, you will be happy to have photos you will love to hang on your wall.
I once got an email from a woman who wanted to get some pictures taken of herself to help her promote self-healing and empowerment after going through some trauma. She said she felt ugly and wanted to have a photo shoot to help her realize how beautiful she really is. Photography isn't always just photos.
If you run a business, consider yourself an influencer, or love putting yourself out there on social media, you need personal branding photography. Personal branding photography is a form of photography that showcases you as your brand. Business headshots are an important part of business photography, but business branding photography goes beyond the basic headshot.

Lori was an excellent photographer and live streamer for our wedding ceremony at the Sunken Gardens. She was able to live stream the wedding for my husband's grandfather (who couldn't attend in-person due to difficulties traveling and COVID). He said he could see and hear everything like he was there! Lori met with us in advance to discuss photos that we wanted and was very professional throughout the process. She sent us a wonderful portfolio of photos to choose from to display in our home. I would definitely choose her again!

Lori did an excellent job photographing my wedding. She also provided excellent videos of the ceremony, reception and highlights of my big day! She was timely and very easy to work with. She went out of her way to scope out the church beforehand to get ideas for my pictures and even provided an engagement session to get to know us before the wedding. Lori is committed to her work and very reasonably priced!

Lori was extremely flexible with my schedule. She took several photos and would have taken more if I hadn't found any that I liked. I am that person who likes NOTHING with regards to self portraits. Lori captured one that after a little air brushing and professional detailing suited my needs perfectly. She worked on the photo while I was with her and it was finalized and sent to me within just a few hours. I highly recommend her!

Last December, right around Christmas, I had the pleasure of having Lori be my wedding photographer, and it was a dream! Lori was so professional the whole day. She had great ideas and suggestions to get the perfect shot, but was open to any ideas and suggestions that my husband or I had since it was our wedding. Lori captured the behind the scenes pictures that I never even thought about but now are so in love with! The train on my dress was a feature that I really loved and wanted to be shown, Lori knew this and captured it in as many photos as she could. Lori was willing to go the extra mile

Lori worked our wedding this summer. It was an outdoor wedding in a public space with challenging lighting created by sun, shade, etc. She was incredibly skillful and efficient in setting up the best photos for the various groups and changing settings. The results were amazing and my wife and I couldn't be more pleased! She even had a slideshow ready for the reception! Amazing! 5 starts for Lori. Highly recommend for your event!
