Carey Housen is a Cosmetic Tattooist practicing in Atlanta, GA. She has received certification in Intradermal Cosmetics, as well as advanced training in Microblading Hairstroke Eyebrows and 3D Hairstroke Eyebrows. She is also certified in Bloodborne Pathogens and Infection Control for Tattooing. She is a member of the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals.
As continuing education is of the utmost importance to her, she has completed two apprenticeships under innovative Master artists in the industry. Services
Each microblading session takes approximately 2 - 2 hours in duration. When you arrive I will have some paperwork for you to fill out to ensure there are no medical or other complicating issues that will prohibit performing the procedure. I will happily answer any questions you may have about the procedure and chat for a few minutes about your brow goals.
Since there are many variables that can affect the result of your procedure, it is very important to be aware of and avoid things that will adversely affect how your body will retain pigment. One of the greatest variables that can affect your healed result is the amount of oil in your skin. If you have very oily skin, you may not be an ideal candidate for microblading.
The most important thing to understand is that cosmetic tattooing is a process. It requires a follow up application to perfect the initial procedure, which can be performed after 6 weeks (once you're fully healed). Due to the numerous variables that affect our skin, each person is unique and will heal differently.
Cosmetic Tattooing, also referred to as Permanent Makeup, Micropigmentation, Intradermal Cosmetics, etc. is the implantation of specially formulated pigments into the second layer (dermis) of the skin with specially designed instruments. The cosmetic tattooing application will define and enhance your facial features, save you time and give you the confidence of looking your best everyday.

Carey is very seriously the best in the business! I wanted to get my brows done for the longest time and when I saw her work I had no doubt that I could trust her. I got them done a few months ago and I was truly impressed with how professional and knowledgeable she is. This review is long overdue! I cannot say enough about the personalized service and attention Carey gives to her clients. From the initial consultation to the work and finally to being there to answer any questions during after-care. She takes pride in what she does and it shows! I am completely happy with my brows! Carey is amazing and if you haven't seen her, DO IT! I had my brows done previously by another artist and liked the results at the beginning, however they didn't last and also turned colors. After reading many reviews and looking at photos on instagram, I decided on Carey. I am so glad I did. She took so much time and made sure my brows were perfect. You can tell she loves what she does! She explains the aftercare and even sends you home with a goodie bag. So sweet. I won't trust anyone else with my brows after seeing her!!!

Decided to finally pull the trigger on microblading after years of looking at amazing before/after pictures and feeling sorry for my barely-there brows. I did a ton of research before choosing Carey to microblade my brows. I am seriously so happy with her work! She explained the entire process in detail and went over the aftercare instructions to make sure I allowed my brows to heal properly.
