Our teenager's car had a hole in the exhaust. They showed me the area that needed to be repaired and told me the cost before they fixed it. They also showed my places in the exhaust that will need attention down the road, but there was no pressure to take care of them now. Great experience! Highly recommended!

I own a 1992 Saab, for which parts are difficult or impossible to get. Iowa muffler put a complete exhaust system on my car in one day at a very reasonable price. My regular mechanic and another local shop recommend them to me and now I'm recommending them to you. Give Iowa muffler a try; they will deliver.

Pete and Family are as good as it gets! I took an old Land Cruiser in for a new exhaust system and they were very thorough in their explanation of the options and their thoughts on what would work the best. I absolutely loved their attention to detail and absolute professional workmanship, communication and quality of service. There is a reason they have such fantastic reviews....it's because they've earned them. They were able to replace my entire exhaust system with higher quality materials and much cheaper than I could have bought the components online and bolted them together myself

On my 2014 Camaro SS I had already installed an expensive axle back exhaust system. I actually was disappointed in the exhaust note. After living with it for several months I went here to see what they had to offer. They actually removed my axle back system and then put on and let me listen to several different mufflers and make a choice that suited my taste. Awesome! When all done they welded up what I selected and actually gave me some credit for my system that they removed. I was more than satisfied I was impressed with their way of doing business. These guys were amazing. They were warm and welcoming, took me through the entire process of having my exhaust system repaired and ran through different options, everything from a complete factory rebuild to custom parts and pieces. Can't say enough good things about this place! We were driving through Des Moines on a cross country trip when our 1987 Winnebago RV started driving funny. While accelerating up hill, it felt like we were backfiring and jolting forward, so we looked up a place close by. Couldn't have been luckier to pull in here. Within an hour they sorted us out (turned out a spark plug wire popped off!) and had us out the door, no charge! If we lived in Des Moines, we would take every car we ever owned here. I was had the pleasure of stopping into Iowa Brake & Muffler today to have my parking brake checked having accidentally driven about 10 miles with it on...don't ask. I called ahead and they were able to get me in promptly. The young woman working the from desk was extremely pleasant and courteous! Adam, the mechanic was given a rundown of what happened and he said he would give a test drive a put it on the lift and then call me. I am so happy I chose this place. We needed some exhaust work done. I took it to a competitor who quoted us 726.00! After having a little extra money set aside, I called these guys hoping to get a little better price on an estimate. They got me in for an estimate and fixed it within two hours of my initial phone call. Apparently we didn't need all the things the competitor said we did. These guys were honest, and saved us over $550.00! Highly recommended to anyone.
