Metal work is rarely thought about, but look around and try to find something not made of metal or using metal tools, you can't can you? Even history has been categorized by the kind of metal we were using: Bronze Age, Iron Age and Industrial Age. Metal work has always had a major role in advancing civilization.

Although I have a good deal of experience with modern welding and fabrication techniques, the skills of the Iron Age blacksmith have always fascinated me. I believe the mastery of forming metal with heat and a few simple tools into unique and complex shapes, is a skill to be admired in the hands of a true craftsman.
Services
My first memory of metal working at age 4 or 5 was watching my dad (an aircraft welder) repair copper plumbing at home. Next to my neighbors mini bike, that was the coolest thing I had ever seen. Watching the solder flow with the heat of the torch was something I had to do.

A few years later dad got some welding equipment for use at home, and the first thing he did, was teach me how to use a torch (I still use that same torch in my shop today) and to arc weld.
No experience needed. The main goal of this class is to learn how to use a hammer efficiency. Even if you have never touched a hammer before, you will learn the basic forging skills and tool making. This class covers the use of hand and power tools. In addition to arc and mig welding, you learn how to weld cut braze and heat with an acetylene torch.
