Dr. Chen attended Brigham Young University and received a degree in molecular biology. He then completed medical school at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Subsequent to a transitional internship in Portland, Oregon, Dr. Chen did his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Stanford University.

I have been a patient of Dr. Byrd since he was at St. Mark's Hospital. You will not find a better doctor who gets the best results. I have lived pain free for almost a decade due to his treatments and doing my PT stretches and exercises. I have successfully been able to stave off surgery and still have a very active lifestyle. I highly recommend him!

I cannot thank Dr Chen and Dr Green enough. They both have been so amazing to me and helping me when I was misdiagnosed by three doctors. I drive from Brigham City to see these doctors because they listen to their patients and I never feel rushed when I have newer symptoms to talk to them about. Thank you Dr Chen and Dr Green.

Life changing salvation is not an exaggeration.
I had a Stellate Ganglion Block procedure done and within 1 hour I was calm and anxiety free. I haven't been this relaxed and free from chronic pain and PTSI since I can honestly remember.
I can't recommend this enough to EVERYONE!!!!!
I would give infinity stars if it was an option.

Alta Pain is amazing they care about patients in the best possible way. They are caring and empathetic to those they treat. The office and patients rooms are nice with a great atmosphere. You would not regret checking out Alta Pain Physicians. The only issue can be the parking that is occasionally full.

I have a few diagnosed health conditions, and still have doctors trying to figure out other issues. But, Terri always takes the time to listen at each visit. She has helped refer me to specialist as well. I have seen Terri and 2 others in this office and they have all seemed to care about ME , not the dollar. Probably the first office I've been in that actually cares about me as an individual. She listens and tries to help me each visit. I never feel rushed. All the staff are very friendly. I have never been treated badly by anyone in this office. If you are looking for an office that cares about

Alta Pain Physicains is the best clinic I have every been to and I have been to alot of them. They really, really care about you and your health. Shane is the best P.A and is well versed in his profession and has alot of training. When I first went to him and Alto Pain I was on a huge amount of pain meds that other doctors just kept throwing at me just to get me out of there hair. Dr.Chen and Shane put me on a plan that had to be followed to the letter to make if work, I was scared and worried that it would not work and they would leave me out hanging and going through withdraws because they were

Alta Pain was my third pain clinic and after having bad experiences at the other two, I was less than hopeful they would approach my pain management any different than the other two clinics. I was pleasantly surprised at my first visit with Terri Clawson. She wanted to relieve my pain and was willing to try a different approach to my pain management which was a relief for me. "I had been to many dr’s trying to learn why I was in so much pain. I had an MRI, went to see a surgeon, an OB. Both treated me like I was crazy. It wasn’t until I met with Terri, that I learned what was happening with my body. Terri read my MRI report and all of my files. She knew what the next step was.
