Services
At Camp Tuku, our mission is to provide a mindfulness approach to the camp experience for kids; a program designed to integrate the mind, body, and heart, giving kids skills early in life to help them nurture inner resilience.

With a focus on developing mindfulness skills, our unique summer camp experience offers a great opportunity for kids to learn and practice simple, fun tools for the development of self-awareness, as well as practices that will enable them to respond more effectively to the inevitable stress of every-day life.
Our curriculum, which has been designed with input from renowned mindfulness expert Susan Kaiser Greenland, is based on several core tenets that will help children, counselors, and staff to realize their inherent potential to be mindful, loving, creative, and resourceful individuals. They will use new mindfulness-based tools to access a wider perspective and make effective moment by moment decisions.

This was my 8 year old son’s first experience with a sleep away camp. He’s shy and kind of clingy with me so he was nervous beforehand but drop off was seamless and he didn’t want to come home when I picked him up! The staff was quick to respond to questions/concerns and I got to see pictures of him through a private portal during the week. The counselors were friendly, encouraging, and supportive. The grounds where beautiful and the activities were so fun for them. I can’t wait till next year!

In the words of my 11 year old: I loved my experience while at camp tuku. I loved the mindfulness sessions me and my cabin mates (sometimes the whole camp) would do together. The activities that I did never got me bored, whether an indoor, outdoor, active, or more chill type of activity. As I got to know my cabin mates well, I felt some of my friendships grew, and others got sparked. I felt the wake up and bedtime times were just perfect. We got a hour or two everyday to take a nap, lay down, or just chat with friends in the cabin. Though I think our afternoon activities went on for a little longer

My kids attended Camp Tuku this summer and what an incredible experience! When I picked them up, the first thing my son asked was "Can I please go next year?" My 6 and 8 year old got to do archery, cooking, innovations, crafts, and so much more. I highly recommend - no question both will attend next year!

Camp Tuku was virtual this year and done so well! I have a 6 year old and 8 year old who attended and loved it. Each day, kids started with writing daily intentions and yoga. Then broke up into mini sessions where they did a sustainability, arts & Crafts or cooking activity. Then each day and night they had extra activities/challenges to include the whole family like a Zoom costume dance party... it was a blast! We will be there next year for sure!!
