Automatic pool cleaners sometimes get "stuck" on the pool main drain. Our device prevents the pool cleaner from getting "stuck". We offer an effective and inexpensive solution to this commonly occurring main drain pool problem. Main Drain Clip-On, LLC has developed a simple "clip" that gets between the pool cleaner and the drain cover and prevents the pool cleaner from getting "stuck".
Retailers can receive significant discounts on our products for resale in their retail locations. You have a "suction cleaner" with a water hose that comes out of the top of the cleaner and plugs into the skimmer or pool wall, similar to those pictured below. Customers report that in some cases, two clips installed in a "plus" pattern on each drain cover is needed because of the variables involved in the particular application.
Because there are so many combinations of pool cleaners, pool drain covers, and the shape of the pool bottom, one clip will work in one case and two clips will be required in other cases. In fact, a pool cleaner may get stuck in one pool, and in an identical setup in another pool, the cleaner it will not get stuck.
If your drain cover is not pictured, you can use your pool basket as a measuring device. Put two strips of electricians tape on the "scoop" edge of your pool basket, separated by 6-3/8" inches as pictured below. From the side of the pool, place the basket "scoop" edge over your pool drain to measure the distance between the holes on the pool drain cover.

Harry at Main Drain Clip On has been absolutely amazing. His knowledge of their product and how it works with pool equipment is outstanding. We have a double main drain and a Pentair Rebel suction pool cleaner. The cleaner was constantly getting stuck on either drain every day. Harry helped us with an extension for the clips because we have a very large area lip on the drain cover. He went above and beyond to help us solve our problem. He also suggested we reduce the intake of water through the drain which really helped as well. Thank you Main Drain and Harry!

My Hayward Navigator was continuously getting stuck on my main drains (yes, I have two). I adjusted suction, changed parts on my Navigator and changed hose length but nothing worked, the vacuum still got stuck. While searching online for solutions I came across Main Drain Clip On and ordered after researching the product for a bit. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I installed one clip on each drain and the Navigator no longer gets stuck. One clip did crack and come off the drain after about a year. I contacted Harry and he sent out a new set of clips immediately. The product is simple and

If you have a pool vacuum, this is a must have product. My Hayward Navigator would always get stuck over the main drain. If it got stuck while I was not home (most days), it would basically sit in the same position for the full 5-hour filter cycle. I have tried everything - installing a "twister" device, controlling suction levels, controlling length of the hose, etc. Nothing worked. Then, I tried this simple device. IT WORKED!!! My vacuum has never gotten stuck after I clipped this device over the main drain cover. Also, their customer service is A+++. Harry, the manager, goes above and beyond
