Mountain Forge

Hans Standteiner opened a small blacksmith shop on the banks of the Truckee River in the late 1960's. His sons, Anton "Toni" and Hansi, have since taken over the business and built a state of the art workshop of their own construction and design. We use age-old techniques from the Standteiner's native Austria and seasoned machinery exclusive to our shop.

We make everything by hand, including many of the tools we need to craft our unique client designs. Every product we create is an original design crafted as high quality functional art that will never be duplicated.
