The Saginaw Bay Yacht Club is the premier yacht club on the Saginaw River and Bay. Located one mile from the mouth of the Saginaw River in Essexville, vessels have quick, easy access to the Bay, the Great Lakes and beyond.
Established in 1894, the Club continues to add to its rich history in the Bay City/Essexville community by offering first-class nautical facilities for both power and sail along with many social activities and full dining facilities for the enjoyment of both boating and non-boating members.

We are a unique community of individuals with shared values and common interests in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual respect. Members can host their private special event at the Club. The SBYC has been the chosen facility to hold wedding receptions, graduation parties, office gatherings, fundraiser events, etc. If you have something in mind, please contact our general manager to secure a date and go over the details you envision for your special event.
The best food in the Tri-City area can be found at the Saginaw Bay Yacht Club. It is a private club, present a membership card from nearly any private club in America and they will grant reciprocity for dinner and drinks. They offer reciprocity for overnight slips to virtually all members of private yacht clubs in Michigan. Call the Manager Kraig, if you have questions regarding reciprocity.
The membership at this club is very friendly and welcoming to visitors.
This is a great place to keep your boat for the season, the best place to eat on the Saginaw River. Chef Harry does an excellent job, I've never had a bad meal. Myles, Sarah and wait staff do a great job
