Albion River Campground & Flats Cafe
Albion River Campground & Marina offers a unique camping and boating experience for both RV and tent campers. Located south of Mendocino, California on the Albion Cove where the Albion River meets the Pacific Ocean, the campground is one of only two sites on the Mendocino Coast that provides both sheltered river moorage and ocean access.

The campground is an annual destination for dive clubs, bottom fishing and salmon fishing groups, crab lovers, and kayak & canoe enthusiasts. Boaters can either brave the ocean swells or explore the scenic Albion River. The campground is a gated community. Drop-ins campers are welcome during office hours only.
Services
Albion River Campground & Marina offers 17 full RV hookups and 90 partial hookups for RVs and tents (water and electric only), and on-site RV rentals. All sites are back-in only. The facilities include a boat launch and dock berths, camp store, restrooms, showers, laundry, limited free wi-fi and kayak and canoe rentals.
The Albion River Campground & Marina has three trailers on-site* for nightly rental-Two Jayco trailers and one Forest River trailer. Birds too abound - from the always present gulls to Great Blue Herons, Ospreys, Eagles, ducks, and king fishers. Rental time is limited to Campground office hours and subject to tidal influence.

Great place for hookup camping. Good kayaking but gets really bad waves. Ok fishing. Family fun place but I would say too close to your neighbors. But everyone there is friendly and nice.

Best place for group or family camping on the north coast. Beautiful clean beach. It's like stepping back in time when nature was valued.

Albion flats has always been one of my favorite stops when I'm in the area. Nice campground, boats coming in with their catches, cleaning abalone and more. There's showers and a chill atmosphere.

Access to a small beach with a river. The campground was on the crowded RV side of the spectrum. A small playground good for kids of all ages. Great for families and friends. Unfortunately we could only book a single night because it had been booked out. We hope to return to stay for at least two nights. We tried fishing but didn't catch anything. Definitely had a good time creating memories.

Nice friendly camp hosts. Ample parking for our boat trailer, and I had heard rumors that the launch was sketchy, but it worked out fine. Try to arrive at mid to high tide to insure that launching and leaving the launch pond is doable. I'm a local born and raised, haven't launched from here, but plan to more in the future. Launch fee is 10 bucks.

The small beach area is beautiful. The historic bridge that runs high in the air between the campground and beach is charming. Wear a winter hat, windbreaker and long pants for beach time. Kids playground area looked fun.
