To improve price transparency, all U.S. hospitals and health systems are required to provide lists of standard hospital charges - also called a chargemaster - so patients can compare prices across hospitals. Here are a few considerations to keep in mind as you view the list of standard charges (chargemaster).

Absolutely horrible.I came in ER with saver pain begging for them to please help be. They left me in a room alone, no nurse call, no IV, no pain medication and no help at all letterally said by blood work was fine and walked out and shut the door. My blood work might be fine but I was in saver pain in my abdomen, throwing up and nauseous.

I can't speak highly enough of the quality of care I received over the last few months!! My Freestone Medical Center visits included interactions with Clinic staff, appointments with Dr. Mark Waweru, an MRI, two rounds of x-rays with Radiology and pre-operative Lab Services. It is such a blessing to have these services so close to home!
Also, I am extremely thankful to be able to get my annual mammogram at FMC!

I had an outpatient procedure done at the hospital a couple of weeks ago. The proximity to my home was a great convenience and comfort to me. My family did not have to disrupt their schedules to drive me out of town. I did not have to take off of work any more than necessary. When I had questions the day before the procedure, I was able to readily reach the correct person to provide those answers without waiting hours for a returned call. The care I received was excellent. The personnel were attentive, kind and professional. Above all, they were hometown folks. While I did have to wait a while

My PCP sent a standing order to FMC in order for me to get a monthly COVID in order for me to be my uncle’s Caregiver at his Memory Care Facility. Yesterday was the first time I went. Laquila got me registered and Amy gave me my test. They were both so friendly! I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Getting a COVID test isn’t any fun, but I have to say it was a pleasure being helped by two such nice ladies, especially since I will be seeing them regularly! It makes it so much easier for me to be able to get the test there as well.

Awful doctors. Zero knowledge of what's going on. You have to wait almost 2 hours in the ER with chest pains. They don't care .They don't know anything at all. I'd rather die on my way to a different hospital than go back to that atrocity of a "hospital". I highly recommend everyone avoid this place. You'd be better off going somewhere else.
Update: years later I return because I feel a case of appendicitis. They can't take me in immediately because walkins are only 7-8 for cold and flu people. So I had to go to the ER because I can't wait hours to be seen. This place is absolutely awful. They

I do not recommend this ER.
What kind of hospital doesn’t have an OB on staff or an ultrasound machine!?!? I had my urine tested, came back normal according to the nurse yet they still put me on an IV. I never got my blood test results. I currently pregnant and the front desk knew that I was having issues concerning my pregnancy and failed to tell me they do not have an ultrasound machine which would’ve saved me a lot of time and a lot of money. They then called an ambulance to transfer me to Waco where there was an ultrasound available. I asked if I could just drive myself and they said I

I've only been to the ER twice at this hospital. Once for my husband and once for myself. At his visit he was the only patient and the wait was well over two hours. My visit was right at two hours and we left without seeing a doctor at all. This place is out of hand. It's such a nice facility and much needed in our community. I don't know why the doctor on duty doesn't see a patient in a reasonable time period if no one is there. Why wait until something tragic maybe happens on the interstate and the ER fills up? Nice hospital with a very bad reputation. Word of mouth is very important. Why not

I have three young children and in the past 4 months each one has had a visit here and the experience was very satisfying. The front desk got us in a room promptly so promptly we hadn’t even sat down in the lobby yet. Once we got back the nurse and doctor came in within 1-5 minutes. Honestly the visit was everything you would want when going to the ER. They listened to us and treated accordingly. Thank you all for being patient with my children and for the great service.

We were nervous about visiting this hospital because of the reviews we saw here, but we were camping at the park and didn’t want to drive an hour away at night, so we decided to try it. My daughter injured her wrist, and we wanted to get x-rays to make sure it wasn’t broken. Despite the reviews here, we had none of these problems. We were greeted kindly and taken back right away. Everyone was respectful and professional. They had a portable xray machine they brought to the room, which was more comfortable for my daughter. It turned out that she does have a fracture, so they splinted it and
