Kenneth E. Goolsby, MD, owner of the practice, has been in private practice in Gainesville since 1987. Some doctor, also not in very good health himself treated me like a child took none of my input into my own health needs in to account. $275 self pay visit that lasted 10 minutes tops and left with nothing. No medication and more anxiety than when I walked in. You shouldn't treat every patient the same and your garbage approach of putting everyone on ssri and anti psychotic medication is dangerous for public health. I think a call to a lawyer is the next step I need to take

I absolutely love Rob Findley! He is always prompt! I have had no problems with the him.
My only concern is with the policy of being discharged from the practice service if you miss three appointments. Sadly, part of having a mental illness is missing appointments. It would be nice to see this practice treat the whole person and use some compassion when deciding on practice policies.
I understand that the practice is a business and needs to make money, but it’s a mental health business in which the patients need sympathetic and comprehensive care.

Wow! This place might be the worst doctors office I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. They literally have devotionals you can buy at the checkout and I’m guessing that’s because they know we will need to pray for them by the time we leave. We didn’t even make it back to the Doctor Who refuse to talk to the patient after turning us away as soon as we got here for being 12 minutes late. I can understand wanting to keep a good schedule and even though we were under bizarre circumstances if they didn’t want to bend to that that’s OK but they were also very rude.

When I first became a patient at Goolsby and Associates, I was satisfied with all of the physicians and my treatment. Unfortunately, at the end of 2019, I was given a dosage of Prozac which is generally not prescribed. I began showing signs of poisoning and sought medical treatment at the ER and with my general practitioner. I understand that having too much serotonin in your system can happen and was not angry with my physician or my treatment. I returned to their office but was unable to see my usual doctor; all I wanted was to get my dosages correct so I could return to normal and go back to

They are slow to call back, if they ever even return calls. Nearly every appointment I've had here for 3+ years, I've been brought back 10+ minutes after my appointment time. They don't call in enough refills for medicines between appointments and when you try to call in to get a script refill, they rarely actually fill them. They have unknowingly cancelled my appointment before with *no notice* until the morning I showed up AT THE OFFICE and they told me that my appointment had been cancelled, Sorry no one told me. They take forever to complete prior authorizations for medication. Visits are expensive

I am a brain tumor survivor and have had many psychological issues because of all the treatments and surgeries I have had to endure. I do not know what I would have done without Dr. Goolsby and his staff. Every single staff member is caring and will do their best to help you. Dr. Goolsby is a kind hearted doctor who will work with you; just be honest with him. The one piece of advice I would give is...to get an appointment early in the day! Or...you may be there at 9pm like I have! But, what doctors will stay that late to insure your care?? Only one....Dr. Goolsby! The best doctor in north Georgia

I was a patient there. I have arrived on time 5 seperate times to my appointments and waited well over an hour every time not seeing my doctor.( I just got up and left after almost 2 hrs) I was toId that the doctor will over extend a visit to accomodate certain patients needs. I was driving from jefferson to Gainesville(30 min. one way). And I even used a vacation day and was not notified the doctor was out for the day. I go to my new doctor tomorrow in Athens at 4:30 tomorrow.

NEVER EVER go to Kenneth Goolsby's off in Gainesville. They have sent me a bill for not only a office consult ($320) BUT a $150 fee for "testing." I was only there for 30 mins and they did not do any testing. So I called them, they said that the "testing" is a 9 question paper they had everyone sign. I asked where it was that I signed this would be additional to my office visit. Her (Kathy in the billing department) said "our prices are not posted" over and over. I've been seeing Dr. Goolsby for many years, he not only is an excellent doctor but a wonderful and caring person. He has a very kind heart and wants to do anything and everything in his power to help his patients.
His physicians assistant, Rob is great as well.
The staff is always extremely helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant.
