We are a teaching and practice facility dedicated to the healing art therapies of Reflexology and BioEnergetic Synchronization Technique (BEST). Alexandra Seymour, owner of the Center, is an accomplished practitioner and instructor with over 24 years of experience.
In 1998 she became the first reflexology instructor in the United States to create and instruct a 300 hour Certificate of Completion Program in Reflexology at the college level for the Community College Of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas Nevada. Alexandra also served on the board of the ARCB from 2000 through 2002.

Welcome to our series of continuing education courses Therapeutic Foot Works for massage therapists, bodywork practitioners and health care professionals. We welcome everyone to attend any course whether it is for personal or professional development. Each course is 10 hours in length. The cost for each course is $99.
The Center for Reflexology & Intuitive Healing Arts offers a 120 hour Certificate of Completion Program in Foot Reflexology. The program is instructed both locally in Arcata California and other cities throughout the US. The curriculum is structured to include both in class hands on instruction and home study assignments.
Reflexology is an ancient healing art form that recognizes the feet, hands and ears are a reflection of the body and the link to greater health and well-being. It is based on the premise that within these areas are reflexes or zones that correspond to all parts of the body. These reflexes are located by a method known as somatic replication, much like drawing a map of the body on the feet, hands and ears.
Bio Energetic Synchronization Technique (B.E.S.T.) is a unique form of body work that addresses the relationship between stress and the interference in the flow of vital energy through the nervous system. Over our lifetime, stress can accumulate in the nervous system distracting vital energy, changing the normal chemistry and functioning of the body.
At the Center For Reflexology and the Healing Arts we offer the only nationally certified reflexology practitioner in Humboldt County! When you schedule a Reflexology or Bio Energetic Session you know you are getting a session that is nothing but that - no filler head or shoulder rub - no simple foot massage.

I had about 10 or so sessions with therapist Alexandra Seymour.
Getting your feet rubbed is heavenly, but she is also skilled in "reading" your body as to what kind of emotional "clearing" it wants to have done. She uses "Bioenergetics" to clear old, negative emotional energy (usually from trauma you experienced) from your muscles and nerves, so that your body can return to its intended relaxed position and state. She is incredibly intuitive and professional and skilled. I feel much more "in control", as if I can more easily "show up for my own life" now.
