TranStewart Trucking and Logistics Inc. was founded by a father and a son nearly 20 years ago, in 1996. Jerry Stewart Sr. and Jr. began as owner operators and experienced life on the road for several years. Eventually, they sold their two trucks and adjusted their business plan in favor of an all-owner / operator friendly company.
It is fitting that the first honoree of our quarterly Road Warrior Award goes to one of our first Owner/Operators, Mr. Don Holloway. As a Michigan based partner, Don started in transportation almost 30 years ago transporting electronics via semi's and has spent the last 18 years battling traffic in his 1997 Volvo straight truck.

So I have been on the fence about going with Transtewart for over a year. I have a family member who runs with them. He is concerned about staying on now. I heard for months about this guy Andrew who worked at transtewart. From what I heard not only from my fam but from a friend too this guys was the heart of the company. Anyways my fam just found out Andrew left. This tells me that this guy wanted away from this place. My cousin saying that he felt like this company was starting to go down hill and now he feels he knows the reason why. Be careful if you are thinking of signing up with them. Use

I am posting a follow up to my previous post as I'm unable to edit that one. After seeing my post one of the owners reached out to husband to personally address the concerns he had. It matters that that step was taken as it demonstrates that what people think matters to the owners and therefore change/adjustment is possible where they can make them.

My husband worked for them for only 2 weeks. The drivers room does not have wifi or cable or anything that driver can use that makes it comfortable for you.
It is closed and locked at night so they are not focused on driver at all.He would call with frustrations about dispatch not not finding loads to the areas that he says (they promote no forced dispatch) and especially with their safety person constantly calling him if he used PC. He finally had to read the laws to her and remind her that he was not asking for permission to go pee and he owned his truck. Thet are going to take/hold you final

I am a leased owner operator. Been driving since 1999 and have been leased as an owner operator for a few places since 2007. I tell any driver that asks or cares to listen that I wish I would have found Transtewart day one. That way I could say I have only driven for one company. They are so professional and courteous. I have never "cringed" when I see my dispatch calling like I have at other places. Communication is excellent. Crisis managment also excellent. I drive for Transtewart Trucking, I have been here for about a year now, and I can honestly say in my 8 years of driving ( including driving for Fedex Ground) I wish I had found Transtewart a lot sooner, the staff is very friendly and understanding, the Dispatch knows what they are doing and they normally have you pre-planed, as a driver you accept your loads they arnt assigned to you, your given the rate miles and weight along with pick up and delivery location before hand. so you can decide if you want to do the load and make that amount of money. so for the reviews saying that you dont make

Well I was seriously thinking of leasing on with this company, but a majority of the bad reviews have came from less than 1 year and a lot of them from the last 2 days. So I must say I will not be signing on with this company.
Ok so I went ahead and did sign on with them. So far all the dispatchers have done an excellent job of getting me good paying loads. I let a few bad reviews decide for me at first, but I felt like I should give them a chance and see for myself. Not disappointed from them at all. Everyone that I have talked to from here is always in a good mood and they really seem to care

24 hour dispatch makes a world of difference! The owner of this company is one of the most wonderful and smart women I've ever met, and the dispatch team is always available to help in a courteous and friendly manner. I work with Transtewart closely on a daily basis, and they have not once failed to perform to expectations. The management team does a great job with their fleet, keeping their trucks in order while providing efficient service with timely tracking information. Friendly, knowledgeable, and communicative, this is easily one of my favorite carriers to work with.
