Phone books were not being printed at that time to conserve paper during WWII. In order to be listed in the phone book, the company took the name and phone number of a business that had recently closed its doors. The name taken was Wayne Regulator, a company that once produced gauges. In November of 1956, we were incorporated as Wayne Craft.

I have a 1929 brick home. I hired Wayne Craft to put an awning on my front porch. Due to the large and heavy look of a house like this, i told them the part that curves down in the front could not be srandard. They had to find a way to make it a deeper "nose" or it would look chintzy and dwarfed on a house like mine. It just wouldn't look right. Jason the sales guy was wonderful seeing what they could do. I got a call from the guy at shop who actually DID THE WORK so he would understand exactly what i was saying. They had to take it back and work on it to add the extra depth to the nose.. but the

Pretty bad quality. Save yourself the Hassel and call a different company. Had an awning installed that constantly makes banging sounds in the heat. Called on warranty,they came out and replaced the awning. Did the same thing. Ended up calling a different awning company and explained the situation, first thing he said was let me guess, Wayne craft awning? Popping in the sun and wind all day right?

The old, dirty, used -to- be -white awning over my front porch had to go. Not a lot of companies in the area to choose from, So i went with Wayne Craft, since they were the most responsive to my phone request for a quote. The sales person came out late for our appointment, but seemed genuinely interested in what i wanted/needed. Suggested a style change from the old one, (which had a constant, gradual curve to the top). The new one would be give me a bit more height, he said. Fine. The installers came and were friendly enough, but, as apparent with the first rain, the whole thing leaked where it

The price was a little more than we expected but their estimate was what it cost. No hidden fees. We got hand rails on our porch that are high quality. The install was fast. Installers cleaned up after themselves and were polite and professional. Well worth the money! These are not cheapo rails. Nice and sturdy. Look great too.
