Chuck earned his BS in Marketing from the Colorado University School of Business while he worked at a restaurant to help pay tuition. Working for tips while taking finance and marketing classes gave Chuck a unique perspective on customer service, R-O-I and resource management; a perspective that has shaped Catalyst into what it is today.
After rising from dishwasher to general manager of a 100+ employee restaurant in Boulder, Chuck moved east in 1984 and joined James A. Ford Advertising, an "industrial" ad agency founded in Stamford in 1963. By 1992 Chuck was Ford's President, and in 1994 he had formed Catalyst and bought Ford's assets.
