Dustin was incredibly helpful while cleaning and inspecting our fireplace that hadn't been used in years. Dustin and Joey did an amazing job cleaning our gas fireplaces, making them look brand new! They were very professional. This company is upsetting. I went with them based off the good reviews I seen, even though they charge much more than.
In the last 20 years we have swept over 10,000 chimneys and have received a multitude of positive reviews from our customers which just goes to show that we do the job right! We also know that our past performance is something we have to live up to every day, so we promise we will continue to do it right.
The chimney is one of the most important parts of your fireplace, as it both helps feed the fire and take away the smoke and ash from the hearth. Over time, the elements wear down the structural integrity of the brick and mortar of your chimney which can prove disastrous, even allowing water to leak into your home.
Just like their wood-burning counterparts, it is recommended to service gas fireplaces yearly as well. The National Fireplace Institute recommends a gas fireplaces be cleaned and serviced at least annually. Can't say enough good! Dustin was VERY informative and thorough. We'd been told we had flue damage, and Dustin (thankfully) found NONE, while correcting a couple of minor issues and doing a log refresh. Couldn't have been happier, and saved us thousands of dollars!

I chose this company after many people on the Nextdoor app recommended them and I did my research. We have never owned a home with a working fireplace before. Ours is a gas, direct vent fireplace. So we wanted piece of mind knowing that our home is completely safe and how to use the fireplace.

They were prompt, which was appreciated, but I probably would go to someone else next time. We called to request a cleaning due to raccoons in our chimney, and a cap to have put over the top. They agreed and came out within about an hour.
Disappointed that they charge us more than quoted, without acknowledging why. I can't help but assume they have no fee schedule, and make it up as they go along. Also when they arrived, they neglected to tell us they did not have caps, but had to order one in. So we had to pay a second service charge to have the cap installed and ordered. River City Chimney & Hearth came to my place on a service call to repair a propane fireplace. They were there for ten minutes, left and said they needed to order a part to fix it. I had to call them a couple weeks later after not hearing from them. They informed me that the part I needed is not easy to find, so it was not worth their time to look for it. The owner said he would refund the service fee of $180 but never did.
