Really cool place on the water! Nice and open with plenty of heat so you still get the outdoor feeling in the winter. The service was great and the beer was nice and cold! We had the truffle fries and shrimp wrap. Both were excellent. Great place to have a drink, hang by out, and have some food on the water.

We came to visit Morehead City and this place was a short walk from our stay. We LOVED it! I ordered the mahi fish tacos with fries and my husband ordered the fish (black sea bass) and chips. The tacos were delicious and the sea bass melted in your mouth. Our server was very kind and we got our food right away. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!

Lastnight my husband and I decided to eat there. I love the location, delicious food but we sat for 10min it's before putting in our drink order, our server Elizabeth walked by atleast 3-4 times before coming to get our drink order. I watched her walk out the kitchen look over and give the food to someone else and then she decided to run over to get our order. At that point i was annoyed. Then at about 7:40 they started putting all the ketchup up and i ordered fries so i asked a different server if we could have the ketchup bottle for our food. Tuna tacos had very little flavor but were the highlight compared to the Caprese Shrimp salad- greens were nothing but stems with flavorless hot house tomatoes cut poorly with tiny bait shrimp. Will not return.

Best view in Morehead from the top deck. Service is always very attentive and the food does not disappoint. Grouper crab cake sandwich ftw with a red oak on draft.

Love the food and the view. I loved that it was directly on the water and the breeze was really nice because of that. The service was fast as well.

We pulled the boat up for snacks and drinks and were not disappointed. Poke nachos, wings, crab dip...YES 3X! Painkillers with floats were the winners!

Grinders? Haven't heard that since I lived in Massachusetts. And I haven't had such a wonderful crab cake since I lived in New England. The fish tacos and truffle fries were awesome. There were 2 kids playing music that was great - the entire atmosphere was just wonderful. Staff are wonderful - Heather was super!! Can't wait to go back.

I've been here several times for lunch and have never been disappointed. They have a vast menue and something for everyone, from fresh seafood to burgers. My wife and I were there last week and had a tough time deciding with so many good items on the menue. We both decided on the grouper, crab cake sandwich, with fried egg arugula and mango spread. It was colossal and amazing! She said the edamame side was the best that she ever had, I had fries. Cool place hid away on the waterfront. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The food was good. Crab dip was tasty, little on the cold side. Churizo fries were too sweet in my opinion. Tasted like spaghetti sauce. I had the pimento cheeseburger and it was good. Your not going to be "Wow'd" after the food but it is a great place to hang out with friends and socialize and have some drinks.

4 stars because as delicious as the food is, the fried were pretty overcooked and the wait was awful. But amazing sliders.

First the good things! Atmosphere is great. Open water, great views, roomy tables. Service was great too. Waitress very helpful and attentive. Even food runners were helpful!!!! Menus were moldy, it's the beach so I can overlook that :) felt clean otherwise, although I did not go to bathroom. They were out of a few things, crab and fresh mint (garish in my drink). Not deal breakers. It happens! But the drinks were watered down and tasted like no alcohol in them. We got the summer kiss and a margarita. All of that I would give a 4 star. My 3 star comes from the food. I do not eat at the sanitary

Exactly what beach food should be! Hot and fresh. Great service. Cold beer. Excellent amazing view. Thanks Bree for amazing, fast, friendly service. We'll be back.

Probably the worst service I have had in years. 45 minutes to get a drink and the restaurant was not packed. I had to get my own drinks. Chips were stale with the tuna nachos. Multiple menu items did not exist because they were out. Good location. Poorly staffed. Avoid.

DO NOT EAT HERE THIS IS A RACIST ESTABLISHMENT. I was a seated with my group (African Americans) and waited in the restaurant for 20+ minutes without even speaking with a waitress. Other parties entered after mine and were seated and got their drinks within 5 minutes. Waiters and waitresses passed us at least 10 times, and still, nothing. This is ridiculous and discriminatory. I will never be eating here or recommending this place. Learn how to treat your diners regardless of what they look like.

TERRIBLE SERVICE! Seated and ignored by all staff. Everyone else was seated before us. We had 3 black people in the group so could be racism but idk. Just straight up rude. One of the worst restaurants in Morehead City. Shame too, the food looked great. Wish they served us!

Called for a reservation and they didn't put it down. So, we waited 30 minutes for table just to tell us that they were not serving food for the next few hours. Will never go back. So many better places to go.

Was walking around after a big breakfast, its a hot day and we needed some cold drinks to keep going! Seen the upstairs deck bar, where you can sit in the shade and order the food/drinks from downstairs and chillax...

We usually hang around Topsail, but this seems like a good center, near the main street, in the heart of this beautiful part of the world.
Dress elegant but light ;) Humidity is a killer here...
Great place to rent a boat

Today was our second and last time at Yellowfin. Last time we waited over 40 minutes for waters that were never refilled and the food wasn't worth the wait. That was over a year ago, we decided to give it another try today. Mistake. We were seated and waited 15 minutes for a server who never showed up. They were not busy and waitresses were walking all around us but never stopped. I handed our menus to the host on the way out and told him nobody ever came to us and he didn't say a word. Customer service obviously is not a priority here.

Tuna Poke Nachos appetizer was huge and delicious. Grinder sandwiches were crammed with meat on fresh ciabatta bread. Outdoor dining next to the water with great service. Reasonable prices, great food and wonderful service.

Laid back outdoor bar and grill. Come as you are. Had grilled fish tacos. Yum! We will return

Outdoor restaurant fully shaded with ceiling fans. A great view with boats going by. And good food - we had shrimp tacos and a shrimp burrito - both good. One note - this place is not one $. We had a mixed drink that came in at $10 which put our lunch bill for 2 at $40. I still recommend it. But it's not a budget place.

Great place with a beautiful view of the Harbor Channel in Moorehead City. They have a downstairs area to eat if you don't want to eat in the sun and they have an upstairs deck with shelter to help shield you from the sun a bit while you enjoy your favorite beverage. I came with my husband. He had one long island which he enjoyed and got tipsy off of and I had a delicious bloody Mary that came with olives and a lime. The upstairs deck recieved a nice breeze. I really enjoyed myself at this restaraunt.

I ate lunch at the Yellowfin Pub on a Sunday afternoon. The view was nice from our table as we could watch the boats coming in and out.

I ordered the fish tacos which came with pasta salad. The fish tacos were deliscious, but the pasta salad was a little dry and lacked flavor. We also ordered the herb truffle fries as an appetizer. These too left me disappointed, especially at $9. I didn't taste any truffle sauce and not much herbs, mostly just tasted like regular fries. The cheese on top was a bit dehydrated.

Our favorite place to relax and down a few cold drinks. The best time to hit up the Yellowfin is during the fall when they have some fresh steamed oysters that you can go to town on right there on the waterfront.
The star of the show is Gail, she makes everyone feel welcome and is always ready to make your visit great!

A new waterfront bar/restaurant on the Morehead City waterfront that offers a full bar, excellent menu and great view! Completely outdoor deck seating right on the water including tv's. It has covered and uncovered areas and they are working on a rooftop space that is soon to open.

A taste of their menu includes tuna nachos, truffle fries, blue fish slides and many traditional items too. Front he first time we tried the tuna nachos, we stop by every time on the way in from boating! Be sure to look for Gail, she makes the best rum punch and will make sure your glass is always full!
