I can unfortunately no longer offer alterations on silk items. My allergy has advanced to the point where it is dangerous to my health to have any contact with silk. I apologize for this inconvenience. I can without reservation recommend the expert sewing at Evansville Sewing Center. The alterations have always been done professionally and Michele is able to work wonders with clothing.

I'm the owner of Evansville Sewing Center. I have been sewing in some way for over 30 years. I began doing clothing alterations in 1994 and purchased Evansville Sewing Center from my employer in 1998 when she was ready to retire. My business philosophy has always been that everyone deserves to be treated equally.
Appointments are required for fittings and recommended for drop-offs. Items dropped off without an appointment will take longer to complete. You may pick-up your order anytime after it has been completed - no appointment necessary. For special occasion gowns including formals, please schedule your fitting a minimum of four weeks prior to the date you need to wear the garment.
Please note, the prices listed below are only a starting point for basic alterations on unlined garments. Actual cost may be higher for your items. Please feel free to call (812) 477-1979 for more information on these or other items. Formal wear is typically expensive and worn for a specific occasion, therefore, you will want yours to fit perfectly.

I cannot tell you how many times I have taken my clothing to this woman! The owner is so incredibly friendly, fast, and great at what she does. I brought her everything from dresses to jeans to my running Jersey to my blazers. She matches every thread to your clothing items as perfect as she can. Also, she is very fair with her prices. I recommend her to every single person in the Evansville area!

100% one of the best businesses in Evansville. They take pride in making surw the customer is satisfied which is so hard to find in this sometimes dismal city. My Motorcycle jacket needed a zipper repair. She took care of that real quick. Cheap, fast, quality. Now I don't hace to drop 380 dollars on a new Motorcycle racing jacket.
