Robert Otto Glass was established in 1960, serving homeowners and contractors from Montauk to Riverhead. In 1960, Bob specialized in tub and shower enclosures, storm windows and doors, wrought iron railings, storefronts, and awnings. Over the past 60 years, three generations have seen dramatic changes in the glass industry.

Our Elmont storm doors by "Royal" are made of heavy gauge aluminum with double hollow frames for superior strength and durability. All our doors are measured and custom fit to your opening. They feature storm and screen panels that can be exchanged with ease. Our doors are available in fourteen different styles and have a wide range of hardware and glass options.
Understanding your options is important to us, the following information hopefully will help in your decision which type of glass to use when building codes are not a determining factor. If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask one of our expert sales representatives. Consider these pros and cons of annealed, tempered, and laminated glass.
Let's say you're short on space, with little, to no room for swinging glass doors. A sliding enclosure is a space saving option and can be installed both framed, and frameless, custom built by our team of professionals, or stock. Your sliding enclosure can be fabricated to fit both tub and shower spaces.
If you are not a full time resident, no worries! We do need to gain access to your home to obtain measurements for most jobs. We will happily work along side property owners, contractors and caretakers to safely and securely access your job. If we are planning a visit to your property to replace glass, we ask that you clearly mark your repair from the inside and outside with a visible material such as colored tape or post-it note.

I walked in with a window that needed a thermal glass pane installed 14 x 15” the estimate was given to me for close to $700 having researched and now having taken the window to another company up island the total bill came to $80 quite disappointed with a company that came highly recommend it if you don’t want to do the work then just say so!

We had glass installed on our industrial looking wire staircases. Rob and his team expertly installed the panels with lovely silver hinges. It enhances the whole look of the house as well as the added safety it provides. Dealing with everyone at Otto was a pleasure and the work was excellent. Would highly recommend.

Robert E. Otto Inc has been in business for almost 60 years. We service over 1,000 customers annually installing mirrors, shower enclosures, window replacements, storm doors/ storm windows, glass railings and more. In addition, servicing what we have sold in the past. There are many factors to take in consideration when scheduling jobs, not all factors are in our control, such as weather, customers availability, in addition to those, in this case road construction. We do our best to serve all of our customers needs.

Worst experience ever! Do not use them! It took 2 months to get a skylight window replaced and they always had excuses for the delay. Never called to say it came in until I called them. They showed up at the house to install without calling, used the gate code and entered the house! Never an apology. The owner, Larry, never had the decency to return my call. There are other glass places to consider who are much better.
