Services
Agricultural Consulting Services, Inc. (ACS) is committed to helping farmers produce the best crops in the most environmentally responsible manner possible. Our team consists of crop consultants who handle the crop side of your business, and environmental planning consultants who handle the CAFO or LFO regulatory side of the business.
ACS consultants take pride in being able to help farms identify ways to improve the overall fertility of the farm. Our independent agronomy consultants use science-based information to design a program best suited to the client. ACS Agronomy Consultants are independent crop consultants, holding Certified Crop Advisors (CCA) credentials, who work with some of the best farms throughout the Northeast.
The experienced, professional group of ACS planners are fortunate to work with some of the best farms across New York State and Vermont. Our team of AEM (Agricultural Environmental Management) certified planners are also Certified Crop Consultants and maintain their CCA status through annual training workshops and conferences, including CNMP certification training.
Our soil sampling service is performed by Dairy One Integrated Farming Solutions' full-time team of agronomy technicians who take over 15,000 samples a year on over 150,000 acres. In addition, they are responsible for the necessary field work associated with Electroconductivity (EC) mapping, grid sampling, GPS boundary mapping and tile line mapping.
Precision agriculture is site specific crop management focused on managing field variability. Precision agriculture uses technology such as GPS to determine the specific needs of different sites within the field. This leads to a more efficient use of inputs like herbicides, pesticides, irrigation, or fertilizer.
