I've planned and photographed a lot of weddings, so if I had to play wedding psychic (putting on my gold turban and getting out my tarot cards) I'd predict that you're super excited about your wedding, a bit overwhelmed with planning it all, and really hoping for something magical? We're here to take the weight off your shoulders so you can relax and just enjoy being engaged.
One location for one hour. We'll give you guidance on what to wear so you compliment each other nicely, direct you so you look natural and in love, and help you plan what time of day will give you the most romantic lighting. A surprise proposal is different from an engagement session because it requires a lot more planning and communication to create the perfect experience.

Rachel is THE BEST. Not only are her photos absolutely gorgeous, but her presence is warm, welcoming, and fun- the sort of person you want by your side on your wedding day, right?! Even before receiving the pictures, we had multiple wedding guests comment on how awesome the photographer was. She had a way of making City Hall look and feel like we were the only people there, and at our reception was great at guiding us so we were able to have fun but still capture amazing pics. Master Class at her craft; Rachel is at the very least a Photographer Poet. I stumbled upon The Effortless Wedding website and fell in love with the idea of a “pop-up” elopement. Rachel shot my daughter's wedding. We were extremely pleased with not just the results, but the entire process. Rachel worked with us on planning so that we knew what to expect and when, and she knew our expectations. The photos were exceptional, and delivered in the time agreed upon. I cannot express how amazing Rachel from Rachel Levine Photography is! First of all, Rachel is an expert when it comes to SF City Hall and she took her time to explain to us the process of getting married, how to apply for marriage license and even tips on time to book to avoid busy foot traffic. Seriously we didn't even have to research anything because she laid it out for us.
Rachel also has amazing vendor list and I absolutely loved my makeup artist! It feels like she knows everything about San Francisco because her recommendations does not end with vendors, she even suggested potential restaurants

We got married last month at Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco and Rachel took AMAZING photos. We wanted a simple, small elopement and Rachel and her officiant Konrad exceeded our expectations. Rachel is AMAZING! Our city hall photographs are drop dead gorgeous... Rachel is extremely talented, easy to work with, lively, funny, and professional. My husband and I felt like we've known her forever.... he's not the photo taking type and she made it so easy and painless for him. Our elopement photos are absolutely incredible!!! Rachel was amazing from the moment we contacted her with an inquiry. She is super responsive and very knowledgeable about everything to do with a city hall elopement. Rachel suggested a florist who knocked it out of the park with my bouquet and husband's boutonniere.
On the day of our wedding, Rachel made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera. She knew all of the best spots to take photos and made sure we got all of the shots we wanted.

We feel so blessed to have Rachel and Will as our photographer and videographer for our wedding. You can rest assured that you will be taken care of. I was nervous with so many questions ahead of time and Rachel was very knowledgeable to make valuable recommendations. Rachel is fabulous!! We decided very last minute that we wanted a photographer at our wedding. I quickly went online and found Rachel's website. She responded to my query within the hour and was very professional and reassuring. We booked her services immediately! On the day Rachel arrived all excited! She knew the City Hall extremely well and was so lovely and considerate in our style and requests!
