I was quoted $120 dollars +15 (extra charge for carrot cake) for a 6 person cake. I agreed to the price. They agreed to making the cake...then completely ghosted me. Knowing I have a party on Sunday. I have no idea what kind of business this is!!!! I luckily found someone on Instagram for the same cake for $60. Save your money and support nicer people. Who actually want your business. We were supposed to get our anniversary cake from a venue deal and we specifically needed it at a specific day and time. We called in advance and I messaged the bakery asking if I could pick it up at 1 pm (Friday) and was responded to 2 hours later. I'm so glad I ordered my cake from here. I sent an inquiry a week prior to when I needed it because another bakery turned out to be total flakes. Not only did they work with my theme, (Nightmare Before Christmas), but I ordered a strawberry cake with strawberry mousse and OMG!....it was absolutely wonderful. When I called to ask questions in regards to place an order, manager sounded like a B since the beginning, definitely needs to work on her customer service, like big time. I needed a cake for my baby shower so I still placed an order. I had placed an order for my baby shower to pick up on a Saturday. All my son wanted for his birthday was a fire truck cake. I tried to order a firetruck sheet cake over e-mail with little response so then when I called to order the cake and pay for the cake over the phone I made it very clear I wanted the cake and wanted to pay for it. The Lady told me she couldn't take payment at the moment, but that they would make the cake Monday (Labor Day) and I should call as soon as I woke up Monday and they would make the cake. If I could give no stars I would. We had hired creative cakes for our wedding this year on the horn blower. Seeing as to our wedding was cancelled by the horn blower because of our guest count we had our deposits refunded by all vendors except Cheryl from creative cakes. We politely asked her over the phone and she said she wasn’t working at the moment and told my fiancé and I to send her the invoice over email, which we did that day. When I found Creative Cakes, I was in a tight spot. I offered to provide a cake for a big 50th birthday celebration just two weeks out from the event. As I started contacting bakeries, I discovered most need a minimum 6 weeks lead time, some 3 months. Panic set in.
Cheryll at Creative Cakes talked me off the ledge right away. She promised they could make my cake and deliver in time for the party at the Newport Beach Yacht Club. I have been a returning costumer for 4 years and have order many cakes throughout that time. I have always been very happy with the cakes and service until 3 weeks ago. I ordered a lemon cake with raspberry Bavarian cream filling for my son's Fortnite cake. When we cut the cake on the day of the party I noticed that there was only Bavarian cream on the inside. I have used Creative Cakes for numerous occasions, including my wedding. Today, I called to inquire about a change to my order and I know they have not started it yet because it is such a small cake (I have made changes in less time in the past that were up-charges, so obviously they worked to make it work). I am assuming that because my change is not an up-charge is the reason the person on the phone didn't give me the usual response of "let me ask and see what they can do." We got our wedding cake here and it was so incredible and beautiful! It was exactly what we wanted and it was so delicious! We got the vows cake and put a bunch of weird words on it that were significant to us. Every word was on there spelled correctly and it was perfect! I love that they will send a fresh little cake on your 1 year anniversary so you don't have to freeze the top layer and eat freezer burned cake. I'm so happy with our choice.

We ordered an 8 inch vegan chocolate cake with cookie filling. The cake looked amazing and was ready on time. It cost $75. I had to call in my payment a few days before pickup. It didn't taste that great. I've had better vegan cakes. But it looked amazing. Maybe their non-vegan cakes taste better.
They have a printer that they use to print edible decorations. So that was pretty cool. Aesthetically it was really beautiful.

Beautiful, delicious, and whimsical cake! Words cannot express how happy we are with Creative Cakes in Orange. The bear on the cake had depth in his fur!! Not only did the cake look super beyond incredible, the moistness and flavor of the cake matched it's exterior!

This review is long overdue. I never posted anything before because I didn't want to upset my cousins who paid for my 50th birthday cake.
We went together to order and I had a drawing and specific instructions. I specifically told them how I don't like it when a cake is made with cupcakes and frosted all together.
It's a pain in the butt for people to actually eat, so hard to serve people and the frosting looked like a kid at done it. That would have been a lot cheaper.

I wanted to order a vegan cake here to try it out. I usually don't like eating cake, more like a savory eating person than liking sweet food. I am in charge to order a monthly birthday cake at work for a group of people at work. September was my birthday month so I decided to order from this bakery and decided on a vegan cake.

This place is not cheap but if you have a little extra to spend, the quality is amazing. I've hired them the last 3 years to do birthday cakes for my son... and the cakes have been the star of the party (darth Vader cake, Kyle ren cake and this year they created an amazing Pokémon cake for us). I love how they can create such beautiful cakes!

Do come here if you are looking for great presentation, fresh samples and awesome customer service. The lady that helped us (Cheryl) got us with a cake we are very pleased with. Three tier, ocean themed with custom shells as the topper. We are very excited to receive are cake and look forward to return for our free aniversary cake. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
