Services
O'Connor Hearing Center is dedicated to providing expert diagnostic services, the most advanced hearing aids, and related products to adults in the Greater Ann Arbor area in a professional and compassionate atmosphere. Hearing loss can affect many facets of an individual's life; well fit and properly adjusted hearing aids have been proven to significantly improve quality of life.
Serving Ann Arbor, Dexter, Chelsea, Manchester, Ypsilanti, Saline and our friends in the surrounding communities. Our practice specializes in you, in listening to you, and testing your hearing, compiling and analyzing your test results, talking with you and recommending and fitting the best instrument(s) for your specific hearing loss, in your style preference, within your budget.
Thomas E. O'Connor, M.A., CCC-A, FAAA, is an experienced clinical audiologist with over 30 years experience in audiometric testing and fitting hearing aids. Before starting private practice in 2007, Mr. O'Connor was manager of the adult hearing aid services at the Hearing Rehabilitation Center for the University of Michigan Health Service for 12 years.
If you have been referred for a Diagnostic Hearing Evaluation, it means that your hearing needs to be further examined. A Diagnostic Hearing Evaluation may be indicated for individuals who did not pass an initial hearing screening or if communication has become more challenging. The evaluation is done to determine if a hearing loss is present and, if so, to detail the type and severity of the hearing loss.
Using results of a recent (within six months) diagnostic hearing evaluation, our Audiologist will discuss your hearing and communication needs as well as your style preferences with you and your family (if desired). O'Connor Hearing Center features hearing aids from several national and international manufacturers (Please see our "Hearing Aids" page on this website).

Absolutely fantastic quality hearing aids. All professionals with degrees. Will guide patient in the right direction for hearing aids right for their hearing loss.
Highly recommend, even though it's a hour's trip from the immediate Detroit area.

I can't say enough positive words about this place.
I have been dealing with a hearing impairment all my life, and have frequented various sources for my hearing devices over the years, but none have equaled the quality, organization, professionalism, and friendliness of the staff here.
A few times now, O'Connor Hearing Center has responded to my urgent needs for a remedy to a couple of problems caused by another company, and they could not have been more helpful and accommodating.
The owner, Claudia, along with Kathy, and Diane, the audiologist, made the experience of getting my hearing tested

On vacation in the area and Sunday morning my hearing aid just did not work. Changed batteries and still not working. I googled looking for an audiologist that handled my brand. I found O'Connors listed on the internet and being within a reasonable driving distance. Went there on Monday morning without an ppointment and they couldnt have been more accomodating. They replaced the filters and the hearing aid worked again. Being on vacation i was concerned about getting taken care of, but O'Connor's were the best. Highly recommend them for their excellent customer service.
