The Dive Shop on McEver offers a full range of scuba diving classes. We offer scheduled class times as well as private and semi-private lessons for groups and individuals. The Dive Shop on McEver has been training divers in the Atlanta area since 2009. The Dive Shop on McEver has a professional staff that includes 8 Open Water SCUBA Instructors, 3 Technical Dive Instructors, and 4 Public Safety Dive Instructors.

You can get started right now and, when you are done, you will then complete your in-water skill-development sessions and final open-water training dives at our local Dive Center close to home, or at a popular vacation destination.
The Discover Scuba Diving program lets you experience the tranquility and excitement of diving under the supervision of a Diving Professional in a pool or a pool-like condition. During your adventure, youill learn some of the basic concepts and skills necessary to breathe under water. We're confident you'll fall in love and want to learn more.
SDI was created in 1998 and grew out of the success of their sister company TDI, which specializes in the more advanced disciplines of dive training. Both students and instructors have embraced the no nonsense approach that the SDI training system offers. We have streamlined the course materials to let students study the essential academics with an emphasis on practical diving skills learned in both the pool and open water environments.

I was certified in Michigan in 2012 and it was not a pleasant experience. When I decided to get re-certified and signed up for the weekend class with DSoM, I was pretty stressed. Well, I was stressed for nothing. Steve has developed a "wade into the water" approach that helped me build my comfort before moving on to the next skill. He also teaches a lot of muscle memory exercises so that if you're ever in a real world situation, you will know exactly what to do, without even having to think about it. Steve is also infinitely patient with students with struggles. I can't recommend DSoM highly enough

My husband and I just finished the first stage of our scuba certification and we wish we could give higher than a five star rating. Stephen and Mary Beth were absolutely wonderful instructors. They were very thorough in explaining each skill and also took the time to explain why they were important to know while giving real world examples. We were able to take our time learning each skill and were able to go at our own pace. We left feeling confident in skills we had learned and are excited for the next stage. We can’t thank them enough!

Just finished up our open water pool sessions with Wesley at the dive shop. Wesley was super patient, answering lots of questions, explaining things and taking things slow with me since I was really nervous. I now feel confident to move on to get my open water certification! Steve and Danielle were awesome with helping us pick out the perfect equipment for us and setting everything up for our class. We are excited to keep working with The Dive shop on McEver for future dives and training!

My son and I took the open water certification class, and from the start I was incredibly impressed with the entire staff at DSOM. Danielle was able to help me pick out quality gear at very reasonable prices (especially since there is a $100 gift card if you buy the mask, fins, snorkel & booties package) while Steve, Robert and Wesley were amazing instructors. I dealt with a bit of anxiety, and instead of pushing me to keep up with the class – like most shops would do- I was allowed to go at my own pace. I was given extra time and coaching so that I could still enjoy my experience. The instructors

Great experience with the open water course. Steven is a great instructor, and is a good local shop to do business with. Steven went above and beyond to make sure we understood the rules of diving, he makes sure your going to be safe, and goes out of his way to help you with any questions or concerns. He noticed we had a issue with a piece of gear, and he immediately replaced it. We'll definitely continue to buy gear, and for any other diving needs from this shop.

I did it!!!!!! The owners and instructors where calm and encouraging. I bought the driver certification for my husband for father's day and decided to do it with him. Best father's day present I have received! This was a stretch for me as it is out of my comfort zone, but I did it. If I can, you can.
The students in our class ranged from 12 years to 60 plus years.
I did not feel pressured to purchase equipment from their store. We did but other students in the class did not. The owner looked at all students equipment to keep everyone safe.
