El Camino Cafe
Homemade chips tossed in salsa roja or salsa verde topped with onion, quest fresco, cilantro, and an egg scrambled or fried to your preference. Served with a side of rice and beans. Two over easy eggs placed on homemade corn tostadas showered with our ranchero salsa roja. Served with rice and beans.

We are Old Town Tustin's original Mexican restaurant. Known for our crispy Chilaquiles, and as the home of the Dirty Horchata. Breakfast and lunch is our specialty; prepared with fresh ingredients that so many say brings back fond memories of their abuelita's cooking, and for beverages we serve a variety of classic drinks like Cafe de Olla, Homemade Horchata, and Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice just to name a few.

Sorry, I was too hungry to take a picture. Review was an after thought. Dropped in on a whim on the way further south. Was really hungry and found this spot. Got the chicken Flautas, fresh squeezed OJ and grabbed their "Dirty Horchata" (Horchata with a shot of espresso) on the way out. Anyhow, quick review, Flautas were pretty dang good. Nice and flaky, chicken was flavored nicely. Comes with beans and rice, really nicely plated. Overall, if you're ever in Old Town Tustin, you should stop in. Nice customer service, with outdoor and indoor seating. It was worth the stop and I was

Great spot in Tustin to grab breakfast and a yummy coffee! Love their enchiladas and lattes. Will definitely be coming back. My friend ordered the red chilaquiles and loved them as well.

I recently visited El Camino Cafe on a Sunday early afternoon (around noon) for brunch. I was at another brunch spot nearby and they had a huge line so I decided to call El Camino Cafe to see if they had a long wait before I drove over. When I asked how long the current wait was, the gentleman on the other line said, "You'll find out when you get here." Okay, kind of rude but I was really hungry and didn't feel like waiting at this other restaurant.

When I arrived, I found street parking nearby (they don't have a dedicated lot) but they have plenty of street parking as

Food maybe okay but customer service is 1/10. The gentleman at the counter dismissively took our order and instructed us to sit at a table outside, while the inside was less than half occupied, we asked to take a seat inside instead. He responded "No you can't sit inside, I only take orders", with no apparent reason. The entire ordering interaction was unpleasant like he didn't care for our business at all.

The breakfast burrito we ordered - 6/10, soft and warm wrapped with thin tortilla, with only egg and potato they charged $9 for it.

Food good, price Ok. Owner/cashier sooooo rude!
He looks like he hates being there and he is doing you a big favor in taking your money.
I like dealing with his sons, who are very polite. But that guys should consider staying in the very back office!

First, food is amazing! However, I had such an horrible experience. I have been a client for several years and I have been talking to my sister forever about this restaurant. Finally, I had the opportunity to take her and have her taste this place out. Unfortunately, after waiting several minutes in line and when it came to taking our order we were informed that their system was down and that they are currently only taking cash? The gentleman was very rude during the conversation and was not genuine apologetic nor he ever apologize for the inconvenience.

Coming from a business perspective the

Rudness trumps good food sorry not giving you my hard earned cash..This family has every right to run their business how they want but the entitled attitude with a bit of arsenic because they know they have a nice place with good food is something I personally won't pay in to. No humble pie sold here.

I had a carne adage burrito. I am allergic to avocados so I did not have that on there it was a good burrito I had it wet two dollars on top of the $12 Asada burrito they don't give you chips insulting Imo.
green sauce was very good but so so overpriced for what u get ! $12 for a burrito that is not very large compared to burritos I've had that at other restaurants and they don't even give you chips also very disappointing
I asked if I could have the beans out of the burrito on side and they said no they don't do that ....come on now really?? Rude

I was very disappointed by the way we were treated at the restaurant this morning.

As we were waiting in line, my nephew was standing in the open doorway to the cafe. The cashier came out from behind the counter and told him to move out of the doorway which he promptly did.

When we placed our order, the cashier told us to eat inside the cafe. We said we preferred to eat outside and there was available seating for us and others. The cashier began insisting that we sit inside. We told him that we preferred outside. The cashier finally agreed to let us sit outside.

This restaurant was a great spot to have brunch and if you're looking for a warm cup of coffee with steamed milk. They have a wonderful selection of food to choose from their menu and the service was top tier. I will definitely recommend this location to my friends and family.

I stopped by with my dog for a bite while my car was being serviced at Big O tire. I had two hours to occupy. I waited in line for 10 minutes and when I got to the front of the line (outside) a woman came out and said, "no dogs!" Obviously I know dogs aren't allowed inside. I told her that I was planning on sitting outside. She again said, "no dogs, even outside!" I walked away shocked and humiliated.
I'm sure the food's good but that was a very unkind move and I will never visit this place again. As a 30 year resident of Tustin, I'll spread the word.

Who knew that there was such an amazing breakfast place right in downtown Tustin?

The food they serve here is authentic Mexican cuisine, and the restaurant has a friendly, local vibe that makes this a fun place to enjoy a great meal :-)

Everything I've tried here thus far has been excellent, but my current go-to favorite is the Asada burrito with the spicy salsa on the side (so I can control the heat).  With one of their delicious vanilla lattes to get my motor started and some fresh-squeezed orange juice to keep the engine running, I have no trouble facing even Monday mornings ;-)

INSANE FOODDDDD!!!!
Can't describe my dirty horchata so amazing!!! Perfect PURRRRRRFECTTT!

I have been going here for the last past month every weekend!

The chilaquiles hit different! Not too spicy but has a little touch of it! I always get mine with carne asada on top...completes the meal of champs!

El café de olla is another YUMMMM and you need to try it! I don't even like black coffee but.....I'm left with no words when it came to my first sip of cafecito! It has an ultimate rich spice and sweetness to the coffee. ITS THE AUTHENTIC CAFE DE OLLA you expect nonetheless!

DON'T DARE BRING ANY OUTSIDE FOOD HERE! My husband and I loved coming here for lunch. My sister decided to try it out and showed up with her husband and her 4 year old. She had a small meal (Happy Meal) for her little girl. There were two men that noticed it and made a big deal telling the owner THEY HAVE OUTSIDE FOOD!. repeated this twice outloud in Spanish and really made a big deal about it. So my sister asked if she could eat outside in their patio. That was a no. Then she asked about sitting at the tables they have outside on the sidewalk! They said no and suggested a park down the street

Local cafe with friendly service, enjoyable ambience, good food, and flavorful coffee. The breakfast burrito is well-seasoned and not too salty. Accompanying side of salsa is a good compliment. Great atmosphere and convenient parking.

I did not enjoy. All the bad reviews I read are validated.
I am not coming back here. Was even planning of bringing my family here.

Very poor customer service, overpriced mediocre food.
Male cashier was very rude, unprofessional.

Male cashier is the rudest, very poor customer service.
I asked if I can have one of the outdoor seats by elcamino and insisted that I should sit the other side close to the parking area as they are short-staffed. But then I saw some guests by el camino st. I did not argue, and asked again if I can just stay indoor (some guests are already seated indoor, and

I saw some recent reviews calling out the service at El Camino Cafe, and assumed people were just overreacting. But based on my last lunch here, it seems pretty accurate. Hate to downgrade a business with amazing food, but here we go.

I ordered a huevos con chorizo and was asked if I wanted water. I said yes, and after I paid was handed a bottle of water. Which by the way, costs an extra dollar that wasn't disclosed. I then politely refused and let them know they could keep the dollar, and that I'm trying to reduce my environmental impact.

The guy behind the register had the craziest

One of my favorite cafes in OC and we’ve been coming here for years. Huevos Rancheros is my favorite Mexican breakfast here. Food and drinks are good. The servers are nice and friendly but the male at the front counter who takes orders is always rude and super unfriendly. He doesn’t seem interested in the customer service and answering questions we ask. He kept looking at the screen avoiding eye contact that makes us want to leave. And also noticed that no one at the cafe wore a mask. :(

We loved this place!! Can't wait to come back!
I definitely recommend getting the chilaquiles rojo (they are a bit spicy) with a meat! The dirty horchata and the cafe de olla were also both amazing. I've been craving the coffee ever since!! This will now be one of my favorite breakfast places! :)

How it works: wait in line by the door, order at the cashier, and then they will motion you where to sit. They bring the food and drinks to you!

FYI, this place isn't like your usual restaurant where you're greeted and then walked to a table/order at the table. It's more casual

What's there not to like about this hidden gem? The Mexican food that is not watered down. The service that is decent. The humor of the cashier (s), which could be misinterpreted as being "stuck up." The restroom is clean, one of the nicest in the block. I had chicken quesadillas, and the chunky chicken with generous cheese made them rich. The pozole had a nice kick while the soup base was thick. The chilaquiles was crunchy and we'll balanced. I thought I was back in Baja because it was authentic. Dirty horchata woke me up and kept me awake all day. The coffee was pretty good, too.

Wow! Their "DIRTY HORCHATA" blew my mind!! I just had to say this first!
Customer service: I ordered on the phone, it was fast and easy. They didn't put me on hold, took my order with ease and that's it. Sometimes phone orders can be a nightmare but not here!
Food: The food was good! I got a breakfast burrito and it was decent. I wish it had more ingredients other than eggs, potatoes and cheese. Sure, beans and rice come on the side but I like different items in my burrito if I have burrito intentions. My family enjoyed their meal, "Huevos a la Mexicana" and "chilaquilles rojos" .The chillaquilles

A descent mexican breakfast dining.
In weekend morning, almosy always long line is up, but foods are worth of the waiting.
Adding grilled jalapeno is a must.
Howevet, 4 stars because of the price. I think it can go down.
