Proper eye care is important for people of all ages and regular eye exams are encouraged for everyone, but especially for those already using glasses or contact lenses. Your vision plays a vital role in your life each and every day, which is why it is so important to take the right steps for maintaining good eye health.
Children should have their first eye exam around the age of six months. If the first exam finds that their eyes are healthy, they won't need another appointment until they are between the age of two and three. Although many schools offer annual eye exams, they are not complete visual exams and the results can be inaccurate.
At Troupe Family Optometry, we offer comprehensive exams that cover all aspects of your vision and eye health. We start with questions regarding your daily life and any symptoms you may be experiencing at home or at work. We also take record of your vision, medications, and overall health. Then our optometrists perform a visual exam to take a look at your eye and eyelids.
Computer Vision is a relatively new term within the optometry field and refers to eye problems associated with the prolonged use of computers and electronics that use a digital screen. Although it can be temporary, there are times when computer vision can strain the eyes to a degree that permanently affects your vision as well.

Very Professional! I’m a truck driver and my eyes are very important not only for my job but me personally. And I’ll NOT trust just anybody with my vision. This Lady is so much more than just an Eye Care Professional. She knows how important my vision is and she truly cares about it. I feel at home when I’m there. She’s a very close personal friend as well. If you go anyplace else? It’s on you! Cause to me? She is the best!

I am so glad I found Troupe Family Optometry! I enjoyed my visit from the moment I walked in. They were so welcoming, and made me feel like more than just a number on a chart. Dr. Troupe was so wonderful and explained details to me and I really appreciated that. Again I am just so happy that they will be taking care of my peepers!
