Services
There were two young brothers in a small town in Indiana in 1992. We started out by selling products in their truck in Florida, Kentucky, West Virginia, and even remote villages. This was the beginning of Saraga International Grocery. We can never forget a warm meal that an old lady gave them when we went to a small village for selling.

I've been here several times and the diversity of food is always baffling. They have just about everything you could want from an assortment of countries around the world. Tons of fresh and exotic produce, spices, grains, canned goods, drinks, candy, etc. etc. The main problem here is the cleanliness. I'm not at all surprised that it's currently closed down for 3 major health code violations and I hope they take the time to really give this place the deep clean it so desperately needs (and deserves). I don't eat meat but I can't imagine they have the most sanitary setup

I've never seen so many different kinds of food in one place, my wife loves Kefir and I've never seen so many varieties in one store! I have one son learning Chinese and another learning Spanish, I've taken them both to the store to get a feel for the kind of products available from places that speak those languages. Great store!

Extremely busy and packed/ cluttered, not just because of the variety they offer, but also the amount of patrons shopping as well. Not exactly what I would consider clean either, but definitely found it interesting and unique. It was neat to see all the different culinary cultures, something extraordinary tucked away in the middle of my ordinary. Almost a diamond in the rough.

This International market has it all! I love visiting it and being able to buy everything on my list for special recipes. My family has enjoyed shark meat, octopus, and rabbit and all kinds of authentic Spanish pre made meals from this market. As long as you're open minded you'll love the fresh seafood and different types of meat prepackaged, check it out.

International grocery store with a seafood counter larger than most with 4 fish mongers there to cut your fish on the spot.
The stores aisles are divided into countries and they have well over 20 countries represented.
Fresh produce and veggies you can't find elsewhere and beers, wines, and spirits as well! Must check out for the adventurous eater!

If they had zero stars that's what I would of have gave them. I came to saraga early in the morning because I'm an early bird and less people. But I've been here 8am and still standing here just to get 2 lbs of shrimp. I ask one of the guys that I just need shrimp he told me to get a number but there is nobody here at all. It only could of took 2 seconds. They have no excuse they can't tell me it's pandemic what other explanation do u have and I'm pregnant.

What a great place to shop! Everybody should shop here. They have everything you could think of for an interesting meal. I was overwhelmed by all the different stuff they have to offer. The people working there were so nice and helpful. Don't let what the place looks like on the outside fool you. Check it out. Bet they have fruits and veggies you've never seen. Awesome place.

Not the cleanest or the tidy. Checkout lanes slow maybe 2 cashiers at a time. Food products piled on top of each other. Nice selection and variety of different specialty items.

I have never seen so many different types of food in one place. I was on a quest for rice noodles and found an entire aisle devoted to noodles of all sizes, content and shapes. They carry EVERYTHING! Plantains to yucca chips.

The store is huge. And packed. There were 100s of patrons in the store during my visit. They carry ingredients for Asian, African, middle Eastern and Latin American cuisine. Everything.

The produce looked fresh and exotic. The prices were great. I picked up Asian eggplant for 88c cents a pound and the most amazing ginger root that I have ever seen. I picked up bean sprouts

Enormous variety of everything up under the sun: fresh fish/ fresh meats/ fresh veggies/ noodles anything you need you can find out. When it gets busy, checkout lanes are slow, other than that shop till you drop.

Asia Snack is inside Saraga and it is amazing!

They have real beef noodle soup. Ask for it Sichuan spicy. Trust me on this one.

Try a beef cake or a leek cake on the side.

So much produce I want to try and amazing seafood, spices, imported foods from so many countries! I got melon from Mexico, Turkish cheese, dumplings from Korea, and I can't wait to go back and try more things! Honestly in addition to the amazing food selection, I enjoyed being surrounded by employees and shoppers from several different continents! (During covid-19, this is the closest I can get to international travel and I love it!)

Look I'm giving Saraga three stars because if you know about Saraga you're already going and you won't stop going but they definitely have some issues. First- they have a huge assortment of produce but it isn't always super fresh and the store overall has a "needs a deep clean" vibe which isn't what you want in a grocery store. It also annoys me that they sell discounted fruit and vegetables that are going bad...but at a terrible discount. Like if I'm going to buy over-ripe persimmons they shouldn't still be six dollars?? It is confusing to me but maybe

My favorite Indy grocery store bar none. I live clear across town, but I make it a point to venture here as often as I can.

Saraga is a large international grocery store featuring exceptionally diverse staff, customers, food, and ingredients. The aisles are logically organized by culture, region, and cuisine - e.g. Mexican, Filipino, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Vietnamese, European, African, and so on. The produce section is just as diverse, and the fish counter hosts live fish that the staff will filet for you. Prices are cheap if you're used to shopping at chain grocery stores

I cannot say how much I love this place, the diversity. The selection, the amazing Mexican restaurant inside with the best torta I've had in years!! I might be easily impressed but this place is something else.

I could shop in this place for hours. Today was a quick trip for some Thai peppers and veggies. Lots of helpful workers. Everyone wearing a mask. Quick and easy check out. I appreciate that they take Apple Pay. Less to touch as you finish up the transaction. You really must go and often. Great prices.

Okay this place is amazing & is a hidden gem! I had no idea it existed until I was looking for very specific ingredients that the local stores did not carry so I found them on google!

Its not in the best part of town, but it will be well worth your time.
This place has a variety of things & had exactly what I was looking for.

Each aisle is done by culture/country.

I definitely want to return and take a better look around and see what all they have.

I am not sure how their prices compare.

This place reminds me a smaller version of Jungle Jim's in Ohio.

Huge parking lot

I love the variety of everything that they offer. Finding things that I did not grow up seeing in a grocery store is my idea of a good time. I just love bringing home a new fruit or vegetable that I have no idea what it is or how it will taste or how to prepare it. To Google!

I also love watching cooking videos on YouTube and recreating the recipes but it usually involves an ingredient I don't have & have never used before. I can usually find it here.

My only complaint is cleanliness. The seafood area concerns me & the bathroom is not very pleasant.

I finally went here!!!! I knew I'd love this place, and the more I explored the aisles, the more I appreciated it. This international market sells food and snacks from TONS of countries around the world. You'll be delighted by the wide selection. Walking the aisles will seriously inspire you to expand your palate and weekly meals.

My favorite parts: the unique produce (sugarcane, dragonfruit, chiles, etc), an entire aisle of different types of mini frozen dumplings and mochi and sesame seed balls, and TWO entire aisles of teas from around the world. I haven't been able to find

As others have noted, this is the place to go for those hard-to-find ingredients. There are shelves of different types of soy sauce alone! Large bags of spices, and ingredients like sesame seeds, are available for a very low price. On this trip, I was in search of some Indian chutneys, and a few Asian sauces. Products are roughly organized by cuisine type, but be sure to check other aisles if you can't find something. I also bought some frozen Asian dumplings. They have a wide selection of these as well as filled steamed buns; the pork are particularly good! I bought some frozen
