Sunnycrest Orchards have been family owned and operated since 1975. It was purchased by Milton and Carol Schilde upon their return from the Peace Corps with their three children. As the family grew so did the business. Sunnycrest was operated as an orchard and cider mill and over the years adapted to the changing market by adding a farm market, greenhouses, and a country gift shop.

Upon their retirement in 2013, Tim Schilde and Laurie Schmitt purchased the business from their parents and formed Sunnycrest Orchards, Inc. Tim with a degree from Cornell University in agriculture and Laurie with a degree in nursing, offer a great benefit as they strive to grow and provide for the customer, the best products available using all natural techniques to grow and maintain their plants in the greenhouse and on the farm.
Services
Come explore 5 rooms that offer a gathering of whimsical, country inspirations and practical necessities. Something for everyone to enjoy - for all occasions! Find decor for inside your home or your garden get away. The farm market offers gourmet foods from local producers, including freshly picked seasonal fruits and vegetables.
Our Plants are family grown and nurtured - our goal is to bring you the healthiest and happiest ones around! We begin growing the crops in early March and continue through June. All plants are grown here and not shipped in. We have 5 public greenhouses filled with annuals and zone-appropriate perennials beginning in April.
Honey and vinegars are also produced by adding Local unfiltered honey from Rullison Honey Farm. This combination of unfiltered honey and natural vinegars offers a unique artisanal vinegar that we make in small batches. They are wonderful for culinary purposes and many use them for health benefits as well.

Great place for apple cider donuts. Our go-to place for perennials. And the Garlic festival is always fun.
A nice place just outside the village of Sharon Springs that's well worth the visit.

Huge variety of plants and nick knacks. I was here for the Garlic Festival and more specifically to get some pickles from Dave Laraway. I didn't see the grumpy old man that has always run the place so it was a good visit.
