I began upholstery in 1987 while I was in college working for a French upholsterer who hired me to build frames for custom furniture. I soon realized that I loved the trade, the work, and designs. The two of us worked together for nearly 15 years. During that time I grew in confidence and technique until I was ready to open my own shop in 2002.
I began working with local designers creating original looks and designs for both commercial and residential customers. I enjoy all types of jobs from the custom built fifteen foot modern sectional sofa, to re-sewing a split seat cushion, or putting a new cover on your dining chairs.

Cole Brumley does absolutely exquisite work. I took in 8 French antique dining room armchairs to have upholstered in very high-grade cowhide rather than the French damask I'd had for the past 20 years.
First, my husband and I really appreciated the calm, down-to-earth manner with which Cole listened to our needs. He showed us some of the work that he had already completed for another customer, which was quite beautiful.
I was unsure whether to ask him to stitch the leather or tack it. He recommended beautiful bronze tacks -- and we followed his recommendation. Thank goodness.
