In 1986, Buff Brown realized that the Coachella Valley did not have a single heating and cooling company that specialized in evaporative cooling or "swamp coolers, " even though these are fairly common in this area. So, beginning from his home, Buff began working with his first truck to service the needs of local individuals and businesses that use evaporative cooling.
Evaporative coolers, also known as swamp coolers, are well suited to desert climates. I received several quote that gave me the ability to choose a program best suited to my house and my finances. Buff and team were very fun, friendly, and professional. It was just nice to have them at the house and the installation process was seamless. Can hardly wait until spring when I can start using my new evaporative cooler and save money over the beast that was removed.

This company was able to get to me very quickly and handled the servicing in just a little over one hour.
The technicians were very polite and competent. They were also very patient with me as I had questions. All of which were answered nicely and to my satisfaction.
I have no reservations whatsoever in referring Desert Cooler Specialist to anyone having problems or needing installation of HVAC systems including Evaporative Coolers.

I would like to thank Buff and and his wife Pam for taking care of my 93 year old mother. Here is the story..... I live in Alaska and my mother lives in Rancho Mirage in her own home, still able to care for herself and most of her needs. During the recent hot spell her swamp cooler finally gave out after 15+ years. Thankfully she had an air conditioner! After looking at reviews I had her call Desert Cooler Specialist. My biggest fear was that she may be taken advantage of because of her age and gender. I couldn't have been more wrong. They came up to do the estimate and from the moment they answered

They did a fantastic job servicing my Evaporative cooling system and I'm certain that the amount I paid for the service will come back to me in electric savings by not having to use my air conditioning. My cooler is now working so well I actually have to turn it off at night because the room temperature was 68 degrees inside while it was 90 degrees outside. During the day while it is 113 degrees outside the inside temperature is around 78! I highly recommend this company to anyone experiencing problems with their Evaporative cooling systems as this is their specialty!
