Dive Rite was established in 1984 by Lamar Hires and Mark Leonard; two underwater cave explorers and cave diving instructors from North Florida. In the 1970's and early 80's, technical diving gear was virtually non-existent. Most cave divers made their own gear or adapted ocean diving gear to fit the cave environment.
The O2ptima is an electronically controlled closed circuit rebreather (eCCR). When we created the O2ptima the design parameters were simple; keep the breathing loop as short as possible, use state of the art proven electronics, and be able to use the MicroPore Extendair cartridge without extra o-rings or adapters.
Dive Rite offers the original purchaser a one-year warranty against manufacturer defects on all of our products. To take advantage of this warranty the original purchaser must retain their original purchase receipt from an authorized dealer. Unauthorized modifications or repairs will VOID the manufacturer's warranty.
A signed "Statement of Understanding" and "Liability Release" is required before starting an O2ptima CCR course. An updated "Statement of Understanding" and "Liability Release" is required when servicing or upgrading your O2ptima CCR, and when completing additional training.
