Since we opened our doors in 1985, we have been and is currently owned and managed by the same family. Is Petals on Prince a member of any wire services or internet florists such as FTD, Teleflora, 1800flowers, ProFlowers, Avas Flowers, etc?. As of Sept 01, 2014, we are no longer affiliated with any wire services or internet florists.
Most floral arrangements last 4-7 days or longer, depending on the flowers used and the care they receive. The Society of American Florists provides the following tips for longer-lasting, more vibrant flowers. If your flowers arrive wrapped in decorative paper, it's best to get them in water as soon as possible.

Let just say these folks know what’s up in flower business!! Petals on Prince did such a wonderful job on an uncommon sympathy arrangement for me. I recently moved away from Athens and wanted to send flowers to a friend who had lost her best pet friend of nearly 15 years.
Losing a pet is such a difficult thing, and I wanted the arrangement to be personal. Petals on Prince created the most beautiful arrangement that was everything I was hoping for. The florist even called me while creating the arrangement to share that they had seen the note about how much her dog had loved chasing a tennis ball, and that she had the perfect green ball to add into the arrangement

Beautiful flowers and great service! I needed flowers to be delivered for a funeral and every florist was so busy because of graduations and weddings! Petals on Prince took the time to talk to me and find out what I wanted. They were just as busy as all the other florist but they took the time to listen and help!

I will NEVER use another florist in Athens. I went online at 11:30-11:45am ordered my girlfriend some flowers and they were put together and delivered by 2:30-2:45 with a follow up phone call to let me know the delivery was made. That’s customer service at its finest. Oh and my girlfriend was in love with her arrangement!!!!!

This place goes above and beyond with delivery. I received a gorgeous bouquet of Roses for our 24th anniversary and wasn’t your normal arrangement roses and baby’s breathe. The delivery person called for notify me if the delivery. They also called my hubby to let him know I got them. After a week they are still just as beautiful and bright. Wow! What an amazing job on the gorgeous arrangement to help celebrate my daughter’s last day of law school! Petals on Prince went above and beyond, and the chocolate truffles were a sweet bonus that literally made her day! As a master gardener, I cannot tell you how much their artistry, their attention to detail, and their compassion have meant to her, to me. The delivery person calls each time to let you know when the arrangement has been delivered, where it was left, etc. which is indeed a rarity. Simply the best!!❤️🌸❤️

I am very impressed with this wonderful flower shop. I called to have my daughter sent over her favorite flowers from this highly rated place and was lucky enough to get connected with Chaz one of the florists on staff. Her attention to detail and customer service was some of the best I have ever encountered. She listened to exactly what I wanted to make my daughters day special and they delivered them within the hour. I would 100% order from them again in a heartbeat. Arrangement was stunning-- my girlfriend loved it! The staff was incredibly helpful when I called and described the floral design bouquet (one that they just pick based on what's fresh). It turned out even better than I expected and I would've paid a lot more at other Athens florists who just have telaflora designs. They were also delivered right on time and the staff called to let me know they were delivered and made my gf sign for them (no leaving them at the front door or delivering to the wrong place). I live in houston Texas and needed a florist for my dear friends memorial the next day. They were so friendly and courteous, I was even given the wrong address and when realized it I called them back and they were closed. I received a phone call not 30 minutes later saying she had contacted driver and sent him back to deliver to correct address. They went above and beyond to help me. The family also told me that the hydrangea plant was beautiful!!

I was in town for a couple of days and happened upon this lovely mom and pop establishment, looking to surprise the apple of my eye with some flowers. The florist is in a very old converted home across from the new medical school. Talk about impeccable service! The lady, the owner, I think, was extremely helpful and easy going and definitely knew about flowers.The flower arrangements she had on display were very beautiful, like they just came out of a catalog, though she informed me that she did them herself.
