In 1890, Harvey M. Ward entered the forest products industry in the AuSable Valley of the Adirondack Mountains. He worked with portable and water powered mills to custom saw logs brought by farmers and landowners in the region. These logs were processed into the lumber farmers needed for building. His sons, Amos, Ralph, Harry, Sidney Sr and Harvey, later ran the business as "Ward Brothers".

One of the many ways Ward Lumber meets the needs of our customers is with job site delivery. This service includes specialized delivery equipment, and highly trained and skilled drivers. We operate a fleet of delivery trucks in a range of sizes, to suit whatever size job or job site you need us to visit.
We specialize in heating (installation of complete heating systems and servicing all types of heating systems). We also do plumbing repairs, A/C installation of new systems, and yearly inspection of systems. We specialize in digging foundations for new homes, Installing new septics, and repairing failed septic systems, driveways, waterline installation/repair, underground power services, and lot clearing.
To pay the monthly statement in full by the end of the month following the month of purchases. In the event of default of foregoing paragraph (1), I (we) agree to pay a finance charge of 1 1/2% monthly on all unpaid past due balances. In the event of non-payment, I (we) agree to pay all costs and expenses of collection, including attorney fees & continuing finance charges until payment is secured.

Plumbing section could be better. Find that things are considerably more expensive here. Its the convenience of being local I guess. If it's a big order, consider shopping around. Things that are extremely more expensive there. Staples, cedar shakes roofing and drip edge. Just started going there due to Samples closure but only for must have little things nothing crazy. Big projects I patronize Home Depot. Tool section should be expanded as well.

Ward Lumber provides excellent customer service! Recently, I contacted the Ward and communicated with Jay Ward about an item that was not stocked. Still, Jay and the Ward team quickly responded, researched where to find the item, and offered to provide the item at a fair price. This type of prompt and quality service is not common these days. Ward is definitely trying to make customers happy. Think of Ward when you have building supply needs.
