The Bike Shop is the best shop in the Grand Valley, perhaps in the world. Make us your home for all your cycling needs. Why?.Same Day Service - We are not joking! Bring a bike in and we will probably have it finished by 5pm the same day or within 24 hours. The only exception is when we need to order parts, but.
We have got it in Stock! - We maintain an extensive inventory of bicycles, accessories and repair parts. You are likely to find what you need, now. Also, we can do most repairs immediately with the parts we have got in stock. If we do not have it in stock ask Ash to order it, he can order anything.

Services
It's true that Giant is the world's largest producer of high-quality bikes, but we never forget where we came from. We started small. And we were founded on the idea that the best way to inspire passion for cycling is to create the best products, and make them accessible to all riders. That's what we did back then.
With over 37 years of experience, our friendly bike mechanics are experts at tune-ups. Any bike, any model, in any condition, we can handle it! We always use the utmost care for every bike, so you can be sure you are receiving a professional and high-quality tune-up. Many people wonder about the importance of bicycle tune-ups.
Fun and flowy for the whole family! Be mindful of the directional trails. These are some of the most flowy trails in the valley. Phase I provides ~17 mi of trail along the stunning west flank of the Grand Mesa. This section begins on Lands End Road, approximately three miles below the Lands End Observatory, and traverses over the forested slopes of the Mesa to a classic desert canyon at Hwy. 6 and the Palisade Rim Trailhead.

Avoid this bike shop if you can, they overcharge you and provide poor service. I went here to get a flat replaced, got charged 10 in labor for that and 14 for a tube. I then forgot that I wanted my back wheel to be switched from fixie to freewheel, something I could have done in 2 minutes just figured it was up on the stand it would be easier. For the extra minute it took the technician he charged me 10 more in labor. Grassroots and bicycle outfitter much better options in terms of price and service.

My friends and I went to The Bike Shop after our bike rack broke and our bike flew off onto the interstate. They were incredibly sympathetic, kind, and helpful. We purchased a great new bike rack (which they helped us set up) and they took a look at the bike and put it back together free of charge. They saved the day and our road trip! Would recommend to anyone.

Was travelling from Austin, TX to Colorado to join the Triple Bypass ride. Stopped in Grand Junction to ride through Colorado National Monument (highly recommended!) and both my front and rear derailleur started acting up - I was in total panic since Triple Bypass ride was just a few days away.
Stopped by "The Bike Shop" and Bryan quickly diagnosed the unique problems with each derailleur and quickly fixed them for a more than reasonable price. I was back on the road and much relieved that my bike was in tip top shape for the ride I had been training many months for.

I've been a happy customer for twelve years. Always friendly, always helpful, always willing to discuss and tackle a special problem - Ash and Bryan are great. Their service is fast and dependable, often finished the same day, and if they need to keep the bike, they will call as soon as it is ready. When cycling friends ask where they should go, I always say "The Bike Shop".

Very poor. Needed a new innertube and was quoted $ 18.00 the first time, brought bike in and was quoted less by another employee. I also asked to check rear brake. When I was ready to pick up bike, I was charged $ 42.00.
They said, they did a true of the rear wheel, but didn't charge me for it. A guy took my bike to my car, but I had to load it myself, since they seemed not to know how. (I'm a Senior). When I unloaded the bike at home, I discovered, the rear wheel had been mounted at an angle and was chafing on the frame. I immediately took the bike back. They fixed the problem and readjusted

I have bought five bikes from this shop in the past few years.
I cannot even count the tubes and tires they have fixed for me.
I have participated in several events around the valley that these fellas have offered free support for. They do onsite tune ups (for free) and can alway help out with a new tube.
Ash, Brian, Keith, and Ed have been friendly and very helpful each time.
I love this shop!!!! Their service, knowledge, and friendliness cannot compare to any other shop in town. When you are greeted by name it makes it even more special.

2.75 rating. Retail side gets 4 stars, repair side gets 1.5
Let me explain . . .
I have received excellent customer service while looking at a new MTB rig. They don't try to oversell you and are willing to work within your budget. Very knowledgable about the products they sell. Not super pushy, but still making a sales pitch. To be expected. Even willing to price out a non-factory spec build at a competitive rate.
However, I've had multiple issues with the service side. I had the bike shop install new brake pads and the front caliper wasn't tightened down after the install.

Every time that I'm in Grand Junction, I stop by The Bike Shop and I haven't been disappointed yet. Whether its for service, parts or the occasional demo, I've been impressed with the knowledge and selection at the shop.
These guys really know their stuff, they are super friendly, and they have great advice on where to ride.
One of the best bike shops I've been to. Suppurt this small business, they won't let you down.

These folks are all about service. I bought a mid-range (~$500) bike there, along with assorted fixins such as saddlebags, a helmet, and a rack to carry it on my car. Sales Manager Ash let me explain where I planned to do most of my riding, what I needed from a bike, and all my other picky details, then helped me pick out the right one. He didn't steer me toward a bike that was out of my budget, and his advice was very useful.
The rack had to be ordered, so I arranged to pick up everything at once. They called me a few days later and I told them I'd be by that afternoon to pick it up

My local maintenance shop.
These guys have helped quite a bit with just general bike maintenance. I haven't bought a bike here, but have brought in my own bike to be worked on. They really have quite a bit of everything and aren't just a retailer for bicycles. The guys know their stuff and can direct you to what you need. Also, they have great mustaches.

I'll start with a couple of things I really like: great open feel with lots of eye candy, Keith has always been a big help and I'm a Diamondback fan.
Broken frame some time back. DB sent a new one. Had these guys (not sure which did the work) transfer everything over. First ride and my crank falls off on the trail right after my derailleur shifted my chain off into the frame.
Yesterday I have them rebuild my front shock. "$75" he says when I ask how much it will cost. Go to pick it up and am charged $144... Tries to explain it by saying, "thats for labor" and"

I have taken my bikes here for tune ups, new tires, a kick-stand (which I promptly took off... who uses those anymore, anyway?), parts for my roof-top carrier, etc. They seem to have everything I have needed when I go in. It's easy to stop by when you grab a coffee or a bagel down the way and just peruse around what new goodies they have in there. Not to mention it's a great spot to find out about what is going on in the biking community, joint rides, 'n the like.
And plus, who doesn't like mustaches on logo shots!!!

Voted no.1 bike shop bathroom! We didn't know when we called to keep our bike overnight here for "Ride the Rockies" that this shop would literally be a stone's throw form our tent! What a bonus. They were inundated with RtR riders but had plenty of staff and great customer service. A match made in heaven for us, RtR riders, and Grand Juction.
