What is acne? It's an inherited disorder of the pores. Did you know that a normal pore sheds up to one layer of dead skin cells per day inside the pore? Acne-prone pores shed up to FIVE layers of dead skin cells per day! A lot times the body can't keep up, and congestion forms under the skin. If bateria is present, the congestion will become inflamed and form a pimple or cyst.
Myth #1: Washing your face several times a day will prevent breakouts. This is not going to keep you from breaking out at all.in fact, it may even irritate your skin. Acne forms deep within the pore, and you need products that will penetrate inside the pore to prevent acne from forming. Myth #2: Acne is caused by having dirty skin.
From teenagers to adults, controlling acne and creating a clearer complexion is achieveable with the acne bootcamp. I offer multiple types of facials and peels to concentrate on the areas your skin needs the most work. Your time is valuable and so is mine. If you have an appointment scheduled and need to cancel, there is no fee as long as you do it at least 24 hours in advance.
After going through all the information, I give you the packet to take home with you so you can refer to it anytime. If you are using products that are too strong, your skin will become irritated, dry, and still break out. If your skin is irritated and dry from product use, then I adjust your home care products for just a few days.

I have been fighting hormonal acne with an IUD for 4.5 years in my late 20s. My acne was the deep painful type around my jawline and cheeks. $75 for nothing. 5 minutes of extraction and little massage and strawberry mask. Hardly everything was done within half hour. I don’t recommend her. When I entered, there was no front desk, I was searching for her for 15 minutes. when I tried to call no response. I don’t even want to give one star. 75? Seriously?

I did a walk in 45 min before she closed and she was very excited to see me. Great first impression. The room is totally roomy, welcoming, clean, and overall beautiful. I chose this business because of the almost 5 star review and I was so excited to come in. Ill cut to the chase.... It is $25 for an eyebrow wax that didn't feel, to me, that it was worth it. I normally go to my regular salon ladies for a wax or thread and honestly I would have gotten the same type of service for about $16 less. My under brow was even scabbed? I have never experienced a cut let alone 2 under one brow.

Gina is very professional, kind, compassionate, and seems to be very knowledgeable in her field. Unfortunately, I am disappointed with my results with the acne boot camp. I gave it about 5 months, continuing to purchase the products and make the adjustments that she recommended. My skin has improved, but to be fair, it was at the worst it has ever been when I first started seeing her, and now it has just returned to my "normal" level of breaking out. I highly recommend Gina! I was battling acne for about a year. It just would not stop! I went to Gina for her acne boot camp. She personalized a skincare regimen for me. The products are pricey, but they are definitely worth the money. Gina took the time to look at my medications to see what may be causing my acne. I changed birth control pills and started taking a zinc supplement. She also informed me on ingredients to avoid for cosmetics. It took 4-5 months to get completely clear. I have been acne free for 3 months and my scars are fading. Woo hoo! Thanks Gina!

Gina does a wonderful job, very professional, consistent, and informative. The facials I have received are relaxing and make my skin look wonderful, the waxes I receive are quick(important to me in waxing services!! lol, I've had people in the past take their time or talk too much which is painful) and well done. I also love getting my lashes tinted and permed by her. I love these services especially in the winter when at the pool or on the beach with no makeup, My eyes still look fresh and good.

Clean, Professional, Friendly - The services I normally receive from Luminous Skin are brow, lip and brazillion wax. I am completely comfortable and Gina is amazing. She really cares about her work and her clients. Not only that, if on the rare occassion I have a question that she cannot answer, she dives into research and sends me articles and helps me find solutions.
When I met Gina for the first time, my brows were an awful mess. It has taken months to get me back to a decent shape, but she achieved it and I get compliments all the time on how great my brows look!

I have being coming to Gina for all of my skincare and waxing needs for about a year and a half. I have experienced most of her treatments (facials, peels, microdermabrasion, dermaplaining, waxing, eye lashing perming, etc) and she really truly is the best. I initially started coming to Gina for adolescent turned adult acne that I struggled with the last 18 years..... 18 years of dermatologist appointments, harsh medications (that never worked for me) and insecurity. I came here to get my eyebrows and eyelashes tinted and I was very happy with the results. I was a little nervous going into this because im a redhead so i didn't know how well tinting would work with my skin and hair colors, but it turned out looking so natural and great! Gina is super nice and does a fantastic job with making the atmosphere comfortable and friendly.

Gina is amazing. I can't say enough positive things about her. The facials and peels rock my world. My skin has NEVER looked better. My waxing is always flawless. I can't recommend her enough and I just found out that she does airbrush tanning!!!! I made an appointment. I will update and let you know about that service too!!! I found Gina from this website and I was so happy with her and her service! She was quick to return my call and quick to get me in for an appointment. There was no waiting when I walked in. Although I am no expert, it was my best Brazilian yet. Granted I have only had two (this being my second), it was a bit better than the first. By 'better' I mean a few things sets this place apart from my first experience.
First, Gina was quick to get back with me on appt times and when I needed to reschedule the night before she was quick to respond and flexible to schedule with.
Second, the experience was better... as mentioned in other reviews Gina was personable and talkative, to make the experience

Based of the review here on yelp, I called Gina for a last minute appointment before I took a vacation. She called me back promptly and made an evening appointment for me THE NEXT DAY. Awesome.
This was my first Brazilian and I was really nervous but Gina was great. She assured me it didn't hurt as much as everyone says and she really was right. It wasn't bad at all and it only took 20 minutes..
Gina chatted with me almost the whole time (again..I'm pretty sure she could tell I was nervous and felt awkward so she was trying to take my mind off the whole situation, I think!) but
