Michael Pendergast is a Managing Partner, serving as HGK's Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer. Michael was an original member of the Firm, working as an analyst until 1991, when he began managing the Large Cap Value strategy; he continues to manage this strategy today. Michael earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics and Finance from Bernard M. Baruch College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Jay is a Vice President of Sales & Marketing. He is responsible for marketing and client service of HGK's investment strategies to institutional clients. Matthew Witschel is the Director of National Accounts, responsible for national account sales, development, and client service. Matt joined HGK in 2009, with over ten years of sales management experience.
David Hauck is a Managing Partner, serving as HGK's Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. He is responsible for managing the administrative, financial, and compliance operations at the Firm. David has been with HGK since 1999 and has more than 37 years of investment experience. Previously, David was the Senior Client Portfolio Manager for HGK's Value Equity strategies.
