It all started back in 1999 when Meghan's older sister wanted a 2nd wedding cake for her hometown wedding reception, to celebrate with her California family and friends who could not travel to the Virginia wedding. Meghan was certainly up for the challenge and took an 8 week cake decorating class to learn simple buttercream piping techniques.
This is where her love for baking, designing and sculpting cakes began. Amongst her peers, Meghan is considered to be an accomplished artist in areas of painting, sculpting, illustrations and graphic designs. We are very proud that our cakes and other pastries are baked fresh (never frozen!) onsite at our Elk Grove bakery.

Services
Each cake we create is specific to each client from flavor to finish. Therefore, our prices will be unique to each custom order and reflect the quality we deliver. We do not supply a pricing list. Prices are based on serving size, theme, details/decorations, and overall complexity of the order. In general, custom cakes & wedding cakes start at $500.

We had the pleasure of working with Above and Beyond Cakes as a vendor at our venue, Laken Oaks. The cake was one of the best we have ever seen and it absolutely wow-ed every single person who has seen it (pic attached). And the amazing-ness didn't stop there! The flavor was top notch too! The cakes created by Above and Beyond Cakes are not only creatively beautiful, but also amazingly delicious! Daniel and Meghan are both artists; the cakes they create range from "traditional" to "extremely personalized." One of my favorites was a geode wedding cake! Take my advice: Sample their cake flavors and then hire Above and Beyond Cakes. You will be glad you did!

Saw a bit on Good Day Sacramento about this bakery, literally around the corner from my house. Placed an order for 2 trays of sticky buns. This is what my wife wanted for Mom's
day breakfast. Went Saturday to pick them up as directed. Only negative was that I got my confirmation 40 before they closed that day, but already knew what I needed to do. VERY pleasant lady (Meg?) saw us drive up, asked for the name and brought them out to us. She chatted a bit with us and made sure we're understood what to do. Made them per the directions, to say they were great would be an understatement! OMGOODNESS

Talk about Above and Beyond!! Daniel and Meghan went above and beyond not only in their cake tasting, service, and final product, but also in working with our Synagogue with being able to give us a product that complied with the Synagogue's kosher policy. When we first signed our contract with them, we were unaware that our Synagogue actually had much more strict kosher policies that needed to be followed. Rather than telling us they couldn't do it, Daniel and Meghan spoke with the Rabbi, and toured the Synagogue's on site kosher kitchen to see if they could make their cake there. When they realized
