Mike's passion for nature and sustainability has been the driving force behind SolFarm Solar Co. After many years as an arborist in Green Bay, WI, Mike moved to Asheville, NC to pursue an Environmental Studies Degree from Warren Wilson College. He was the Broker-In-Charge at Asheville Homeworks Real Estate when he realized he needed to reduce his carbon footprint.
Mike set forth on his mission of sustainability through education, working as an electrician, and becoming a NABCEP certified solar installer. In 2012, he started SolFarm Solar Co., a company committed to renewable energy and sustainability. Kelly got into his environmental career early at Texas A&M University and transitioned into the solar industry a few years later.

HIghly recommended. I received complete proposals from three qualified companies including SolFarm. They were responsive and helpful throughout the entire process and worked closely with me as I chose to modify some aspects of the project. The couple of times that problems occurred they took care of them quickly and courteously. I would definitely use them again.

Each phase of the project from discovery, to design, to install, to commissioning, to sign off was done well. There were issues but they were able to resolve them. There were obstacles but they found solutions and were patient with a tech oriented homeowner that knows just enough to be dangerous.
Calls for questions or support have been promptly returned.
Crew is friendly and hard working.
Design person / team is very knowledgeable and was the ONLY company out of 6 bidders that left me feeling confident that they could accomplish what we wanted to do.

We just has a system installed and it's up and running. This is our 3rd system install so we have some insight into how this normally works. First off we contacted 5 companies. Only two replied. Points for starting the process! We had good follow up to size the system. They came to us to discuss options, what we wanted and generally educate us on the local details and new developments. Moving ahead with the project, all moved forward as planned. This is a small company so some follow up needed on our part but in general replies came next business day or two. High rating for this team!

We are so grateful for the Solfarm team! These guys are extremely knowledgeable, hard working, honest and just all around great people. Very professional, prompt and thorough with their work. They gave us a fair price and an excellent return on investment with our system. They kept us informed every step of the way and we were able to obtain a Duke energy rebate and income tax credit for our solar installation - a wonderful bonus for a big reduction in our energy costs! We are very happy with our system and the service we received from Solfarm. We highly recommend them for your solar needs!!

When we decided to finally dive into the solar world, we didn't know where to begin. We are so pleased to have found such an exceptional local team. Nick, Mike and the entire SolFarm crew took extreme care and thoughtfulness in implementing the entire process from start to finish. They went out of their way to meet our extra request of setting up an EV charging station for us (which included running new electric outside).
