Why do I make an 82 mile round trip to eat Chinese food here?
Because it is awesome. Excellent service. Friendly staff. Great food. Great drinks. And just up the road from the Kittery Outlet shops.

I'm not a person who usually like Chinese food. But this place is great! As fresh as you can get. We went on new year's eve, and it was packed! But we were seated asap and immediately served. If you're looking for good Chinese food in the area, highly recommend this restaurant.

The dishes we've gotten have all been great. The taste is incredibly subtle. Nothing, even the sauces that are usually strong, is overwhelming. The price is a little higher than other places in the area but not by much ($12 versus $15).

What a fabulous New Year's Eve dinner! Had a pick up time scheduled for 7:30 pm and surprisingly was just brought out upon our arrival which was, in my opinion, simply fabulous!! Our family enjoyed everything!! Here are some comments;
Sushi- delish
Duck -cooked perfectly and fantastic!
Pupu Appetizers - fresh, warm& yummy!
Udon w/beef &house fried rice-fabulous!
String beans - very good and spicy!

Consistently excellent and clean. Friendly staff, great for dine in and takeout. Egg rolls are delicious as is the wonton soup, chicken w cashews, chow mei fun, and shrimp w walnuts.

Swung by Green Leaves this week for take-out and I'm glad we did! The food was flavorful and delicious - we ordered much more food than pictured, I just didn't get a chance to snap a pic before the gang dug in!

The edamame was great - huge portion!
Gyoza was delish as well - not a huge fan of the sauce, it was a bit too sweet for my liking.

And snagged a handful of rolls - I wasn't impressed with the size of the rolls - they were a bit teeny for the price tag - but overall flavorful, and filled.

Next time we swing by we'll end up trying it in person and during lunch! Their

Great little find with lots of options. You can get Chinese food and sushi at the same place. Veggie options and a separate gluten free menu. You can dine in or order online. Easy access right off the turnpike.

My sense of this place is that because they're in a tourist town they know most people won't be repeat customers so they don't bother providing good service. I ordered five sushi rolls and only received four, one of which was wrong, because the waiter didn't bother to write down my group's order. There was no effort to make amends or correct the order, just an "oh, sorry". The whole vibe of the place is "we can't be bothered to provide even basic service quality". Also, some advice to the staff: be mindful of what you say about your customers in Chinese because some of us can understand you.

Best Chinese I've had. Egg drop soup was sweet but not overly sweet with plenty of egg. Egg rolls were large and crunchy with delicious fillings. The Chicken Lo Mein was cooked to perfection with succulent chicken. The Chicken tenders (used as sweet and sour chicken and others) had crunchy breading that wasn't too thick with perfectly cooked chicken that was very tender. The boneless ribs were tender but no to the point where chewing wasn't required. The Chicken Wings had perfect crispy skin with a subtle, but delicious, flavor. 100% recommend this restaurant. Staff was amazing as well

Best Chinese food anywhere! Wonderful soups, egg rolls, veg dumplings and cashew chicken which are my favorites!

The food here was great! They have the traditional Chinese food and a lot of unique items. They also have a bar that is attached to the restaurant as well. The food was all great and the staff was very friendly and professional. The food was ordered and served in less than 5 minutes. Everything was great and I would love to come back or even order to go (they are currently offering both dine in and order for pick up).

Only 3 stars due to the lack of chicken in the General Tso's Chicken. Small pieces, and a couple bites was just batter and no meat. Very disappointed, this is our local Chinese for takeout. All other items delicious as always, but they need to step it up and pay attention to the quantity and quality. Prices have increased as they have with all food, etc., so I want to get my money's worth please.

Always great 👍🏻 Miss eating inside, but the team there adapted and has done an incredible job throughout Covid 19. Very safe entry for pickup. As usual, the food was tasty. Chinese food 🍱 takeout - nobody does it better.

Pretty good Chinese food, could use a tad more seasoning but otherwise spot on. The sushi was very fresh!

Really disappointed with the food that I got here. The appetizers and soups were decent but not the main dishes. I had Kung Pao chicken and the beef with mushrooms. The sauce was watery and in the case of the Kung Pao, no spice at all. One more thing of note was the fried rice. it was yellow and flavorless. Overall the food was mediocre and I probably won't bother to go there again.

Greenleaves has been our go to for Chinese food and sushi for years. The food is always consistent and delicious, and the people are always friendly. We have never had a bad meal or bad experience. We mostly get take out rather than eating in. They always have a lollipop or small goody bag for small children that come to the restaurant too.

Greenleaves has done a wonderful job adapting to a take-out only model since COVID. They have built a wooden foyer area where you can step inside to pay and pick up your food.

Been eating at this restaurant for 20 years and have never had anything but excellent food can't wait for inside dining to return .. We drive from Kennebunk to get takeout from Green Leaves .. Keep it up Andy

Great restaurant! They have a solid operation to prevent contact during the pandemic. One person is allowed in the facility at a time, very contactless and their food is excellent. I came here with a group of friends and we were all able to find something for everyone. Many vegetarian options, moo shi, fried rice with nice heaps of broccoli, tofu dishes. The vegetarian dumplings are not the greatest. All in all, worth the visit.

The food is greasy, and it's clear that since this is really the only game in town, they don't try very hard.

The sushi is decent, but not worth the NYC prices.

Also...what kind of credible Chinese restaurant doesn't offer a SIDE OF RICE with their entrees!?

As a local, this is my go to spot for Chinese and sushi! Andy is the absolute best! We come here almost every snowstorm because they're always open serving the folks working hard on the roads.

Fresh ingredients and made so well. Also, their drinks are not weak and they have a good beer selection.

We get sushi a lot from here and it's delicious! We also love the peanut wontons and crab Rangoon. General and orange chickens are so good as is pad Thai and any of the fried rice. You seriously just can't go wrong here.

Best Chinese place around where all the locals go. We're going to Chinese or sushi is available on the menu large gluten-free options. Food comes out fast and extremely tasty if you're looking for Chinese this is the place to go. Andy is the owner and operator and is very funny walking around talking to people.

Went for lunch. They have a great lunch menu. We ordered hot n sour soup (the biggest bowl ever) I ordered general sos chicken and my wife order crispy beef. Everything we ordered was hot and awesome. Great service and great food. A most stop while in York.

Any time I eat at any other Chinese restaurant it really puts into perspective how good Green Leaves is. Consistently great tasting food, good service, and stiff drinks!
You seriously can't go wrong on this menu. All the food is delicious and incredibly quick. And if you're gluten free- you're in luck! Most items on the menu are able to be made gluten free. They have an entire section of the menu dedicated to this.
They're very accommodating for any food allergies and preferences as well. A must visit!

Wow, this place is seriously subpar.

A friend and I dined here on a recent weeknight around 4:30pm. It wasn't busy; there was only one other pair of diners in the dining room and a couple of people at the bar.

Disappointed by the lack of dinner specials or combination plates, we decided to order a Pu Pu Platter so we could both satisfy our craving for traditional American Chinese appetizers. The Platter was delivered to our table very quickly, but to our severe disappointment all of the items on the platter except the chicken wings were cold. And they were all soggy and excessively greasy

We made a pitstop into Green Leaves for a late lunch based on many of the positive reviews. I think I should have paid more attention to the negative ones.

The food was flavorless, oily and not even warmed up properly. Our server was disinterested and brought me out something different from what I ordered and said that it was the lunch special. But, I did not order the lunch special. She didn't seem to care. I ordered chicken with broccoli and white rice, but got chicken with broccoli, fried rice, and some sort of awful fried chicken.

I've had lots of great Chinese food in my life

We had a stop over in York on our way back to NJ , and I think we made a great decision to go to greenleaves. Lots of options for a drink and almost similar options for food. Surprisingly the veggie dishes were good too , which is hard to find in many other restaurants. General tsos tofu was good, so was veggie friend rice .. no smell of fish oil in veggies which is good for vegans. My friends had chicken and it tasted great too , with the spicy sauce . Overall we liked it .

Ordered a number 27. Fried rice with beef teriyaki, crab rangoon and chicken fingers.

Everything tasted great, the thing that stood out the most though was the BEEF TERIYAKI. It was super tender and juicy.
