Blacksmith Artist Lorenzo Fortunato has been creating functional art in Austin, Texas for over 2 decades. Inspired by his uncle in Italy during his boyhood, Lorenzo spent much of his free time watching and learning this ancient craft and mastered the skills of hand forging. As a young man, Lorenzo left Italy to see more of the world and, eventually, his travels landed him in Austin.
That was the beginning of "Italian Iron Works." Artistry and Fine Craftsmanship through the centuries old practice of hand forged iron. We were finishing up our Italian Inspired custom home and wanted a fire screen which was more than just some Home Depot/store bought item. We were completely surprised to find we had a Master Artisan here locally in Austin.
