Whether you ride a horse, a Harley, or push a mouse, we're here to get you back doing what you love. If you don't live in Cody that's no problem, just visit one of our outreach clinics around rural Wyoming. We'll take care of you, no appointment necessary. Just call 307.578.1955 or come in. From our providers to our wonderful staff, our team is committed to offering great patient care.

We especially love serving our rural community here in Wyoming. As a matter of fact, we live here, work here, and play here 24/7, 365! I've always led an active life. When knee pain stopped me from skiing, playing golf or horseback riding, I knew it was time to see Bighorn Medical Center. Now I can do all the things I love again - without pain - thanks to the BMC team.
Services
All clinic forms must be updated annually. The provider portion will be completed and mailed to the appropriate entity within five business days of receipt. Current insurance cards - If you have no insurance, a minimum of $350 will be collected at the time of your appointment. Driver's license or other photo ID to be scanned into your file in order to protect your identity.
Recovery depends on the condition being treated, many times recovery is dependent on your rehab. Please see our tab on specific injuries to understand your recovery better and what actions are needed to recover quicker. Muscle function, coordination, stage of healing, and current medication use are all considerations when releasing a patient to drive.
As a courtesy to our patients, service charges may be billed directly to insurance providers. Insurance forms may be mailed or electronically delivered from our Cody office. Although we file claims on patients' behalf, our core responsibility is with your medical care. Patients should ensure timely payment for these claims.
Bighorn Medical Center is proud to offer the only neurosurgeon in the Big Horn Basin, the acclaimed Dr. Jeff Poffenbarger, who offers an interactive team approach to neurosurgery. Patients are informed, making decisions and suggesting things. They are truly team participants in getting better, and they have better ownership of their health.

I use Big Horn Medical Center for all my medical needs. For my primary care John V. is great. I never feel rushed and he has really helped me get control and take charge of my health. To Dr. Poffenbarger and his PA Kayla who are world class surgeons right here in the Big Horn Basin. I have had two major back surgeries and feel blessed that I can get that kind of treatment without having to go to a City. They are awesome and the rest of the staff is so accommodating and there for you the patient that I wont be going anywhere else.

Horrible patient services. Nearly as bad as the incompetence that can be found at billings clinic. Have been waiting over a month for results from an appointment that I was told I would receive in a couple days.
