Taking our kids here was a family tradition for years but this season they have unapologetically raised prices to a level that ensures low income/blue collar families will be challenged to afford and participate in any of the festivities.
They now charge $1 per each ticket. Ticket costs for each attraction costs $3/3 tickets per person for the slide/mini coasters/other small kiddy rides. $5/5 tickets for a visit to the petting zoo/corn maze. $6/6 tickets for a pony/camel ride. Food and drinks almost mirror the Cubs stadium prices so bring your own stuff.

We had a very nice visit. Staff is very friendly when we interacted with them and stayed their distance when necessary. We did just a few rides and enjoyed walking and looking around.

BAD EXPERIENCE!
On October, 20 I took my daycare children to Didiers Farm. But unfortunately we didn't have a good experience, starting with the cashier (blonde lady) who was very unpleasant. Then we proceeded to the bears ride to find out the conductor was sleeping 😴. Next we went to the train ride which the conductor wasn't sleeping but had an attitude. 🤦🏻‍♀️NEVER AGAIN!!!

Love Didier farms! Our second year going for the pumpkin patch and animal farm. The pig race and those pig puns are the best!

Saw the ad in the Trib. 3 generations had a blast. My grandson had apple cider in a small pumpkin 'sipper', rode a pony for the first time, and fed carrots to farm animals. His favorite ride was the big rigs. He went on it 5 times. The apple cider donuts were great. Everyone working here is so nice!

Long lines. Everything costs extra. If you just want a pumpkin, go to a garden center or grocery store, your kids won't be crying because they can't do stuff. They don't have pumpkins on the vine. If you want mazes, play area, petting zoo, pony rides, go where those are included in admission. Would have saved money and had a better time going to a place with entry fee where everything but pumpkins and food is included.

Some people wore masks, some didn't.

If you do go, bring water. Nowhere to fill your water bottle and it's a 20-minute wait to buy a $2 bottle of water

This place is fine. My kid had a good time. I can't in good conscience go back because of how they treat their animals. Camels in cold weather and pony carousel rides are pretty cruel and totally unnecessary. Would rather give my money to somewhere that respects their animals.

Cute pumpkin patch, nice that you can pay for each thing but that makes it's insanely expensive. Two toddlers cost us $120. We did get the animal land, play area, one pony ride for the 2, a carriage ride and four rides for them. The pumpkin play land is $5 each and isn't anything great....the kids spent like 5 min in there. The animal land was ok ($6 per person) and just a couple animals: goats, camels, llamas, cows. Food for them is extra of course. The rides are $3 each which isn't bad for little ones. Their ride selection was fantastic for little ones (my 4 year old could go on

All is well, but I think it's expensive. and they have not yet allowed my child to go to the donut shop without a mask. we stood in line for 20 minutes, the mask was not provided, when I gave my mask to the child and put a scarf on my face, I heard - only a mask! .no respect and harsh treatment was from the employee. the child was upset, I think there is no need to raise your voice in front of the child. but otherwise everything was fine except for the prices ..

Last time I was in they had Beautiful dahlias, and great exotic flowers. Every time I go, I see things I've never seen before. I really like their herb selection as well as their pots. Each season it is fun to see what great stuff they have.

COVID-19 Review-
This is definitely the best of the local pumpkin patches (the carnival area is a patch, not a farm). You pick the pumpkins from a patch and not the vine; it is by far the best patch near Chicago.

We arrived close to opening time on a Sunday, and there was enough space to distance socially outside. EVERYONE we saw was wearing a mask (thank you, fellow humans).

Pros-
*No entrance fee; pay as you go for the activities.
*Offers various fall, farm items for purchase like pumpkins, taffy apples, apple cider (which was delicious!).
*Parking

Cons-
I mean, the camels? Not really

Thank you for actually following Covid guidelines! My family and I felt safe and really enjoyed ourselves here. Social distancing is actually practiced in the stores, rides are sprayed down between uses, and everything is spread out comfortably. 10/10 would recommend. It's also free admission so if it's not your style it's not like you're wasting any money to be there.

Highly recommend didier farm if your looking for a fun ,safe activity for your kids . I was very impressed with how well kept it was and how they clean each ride in between uses. Not crowded either! I took off one star for the pricing because it was definitely more expensive than most pumpkin farms but worth it during COVID. They have an adorable ice cream / doughnut shop and If you go Thursday afternoons they have a wristband deal on rides too!

First time here. Took my nieces she I was babysitting them. The donuts are amazing. A variety of things to do. What I would change if you buy so many tickets to get some free. All kids want to do everything and it gets pricey quick. Rides are $3 and animal rides are $6. Our favorite was the fun slide

Visited on a Friday morning, and the rest of the day I kept thinking about my experience...
The good:
- no entrance fee
- free parking
- you can bring in your own food and beverages
- large, lots of “attractions”
- sanitizer stations were numerous, masks were being worn/required
- about 40 minutes from the north side of the city
The just ok:
- tickets are $1 each (no discount on large quantities) and you will go through them quickly
- every attraction costs tickets. 3 tickets at a minimum and up to 6. And I mean every. single. one. Wanna jump on some hay bales? 4 tickets. Want to

I just love this place and the people who work here are terrific. For me, I look forward to the greenhouse opening , and I consider my trips there a treat to myself. I could spend two hours wandering (multiple times a season), putting ideas together, admiring the healthy lush plants categorized by exposure. Knowledgeable, helpful, encouraging staff - all wonderful but I always seek out one in particular who is always there (I'm sure she is an owner and I must get her name), gives me forthright info and help each time! The most beautiful, best selection and healthy plants in the area. Yes,

Read other reviews on cruelty of animals and can't comment BUT Didier has the greatest plants and help.

Their Mothers Day basket sale is the greatest.

Sad they are selling off their land and ticky tacky homes were built. Shame on BG for not working with them.

I liked the business model of this place where you can park and enter for free and then just pay as you go for certain things. Plus it's an easy in and out of you're looking to just do a few things or have little ones with potentially short attentions to focus.

We went over Columbus Day weekend and they were busy, but it wasn't too packed. They have space for a pretty ample amount of parking and the walk to the entrance is pretty short.

Once inside you can purchase tickets that translate into different rides or activities. Generally it seems like most things were $3 (rides, games

Animals (0 stars) Man... you guys, just get rid of the camels. They don't belong in cold weather being forced to ride kids around. It's almost 2020, we are all up to date on animal treatment and empathy, so kindly send them to a safe haven.

Overall experience (3 stars) Kids had a blast, which made us consequently enjoy watching them happy. Customer service was friendly. Rides were the typical fair ground rides, fast and to the point. Donuts were yummy, $7.99 for a 6 pack (seemed a little pricey but everything was flying off the shelf). Some interactive/educational/historic stuff to do

To the 2 people who accused the farm of amimal abuse:

I distinctly remember being by the camels as 2 women were trash talking the camel caretaker because he was one of their friend's exes that they didn't like. You obviously made up the whole thing to get an innocent man in trouble. To everyone else bashing this place based off of lies told by these women, now you know what really happened.

We visited the farm for their fall fest and pumpkin patch. I was quite impressed with the size and wide variety of activities for the entire family, young and old! They definitely set themselves apart from the vast majority of "traditional" pumpkin patches with the unique activities they incorporated. They featured 2 types of hayrides; one pulled by tractor and another by horse. They had a wide variety of animals that the children were able to interact with; camel rides, pony rides, baby chicks, a petting zoo, a parrot experience. Things rarely found at other pumpkin patches.

We took our almost-3-year-old and our 14 month old to Didier Farms to visit the pumpkin patch and had a wonderful time. It's big enough that there is a lot to do, but small enough that it isn't overwhelming. The staff was all so nice and friendly, they were genuinely happy that we were there.
We also really appreciated that tickets were interchangeable for everything: food and attractions. It wasn't overly expensive and this was an overall AWESOME day for our toddler especially.

I will note that this review is for our actual experience and is completely removed from the animal

Nice place to visit when you don't have enough time to drive out into the country. It's a bit more pricey but it turns experience of visiting a farm into a half-day experience versus an all day event. Rides are priced Per ticket so each ride is about $3. The donuts were fantastic and I highly recommend the apple cider donuts

A good time with a range of activities, but be prepared that you'll easily spend $50-$100 for two kids over the course of 90 minutes. Pretty expensive in my opinion. For example, the slide is $3 per person per side. So for my kids to go down twice was $12 for about 3 minutes of fun.

I was planking to come back once or twice more this season but at $50-$100 a visit I doubt I will.

We absolutely love coming to Didier Farms every fall. We have done this every year since my boys were little. Some of my favorite pics of all time are those kiddos sitting among the hundreds of pumpkins, trying to pick one out.

There's a mini animal petting zoo and rides. This place can be absolute madness in busy weekends.

While we love Didier, be prepared to pay! Everything really adds up. It hasn't stopped is from coming but if you're really watching your pennies, plan accordingly.

Fall has arrived, which means all the little munchkins are headed to Didier farms. With lots of little kid rides & games, an impressive pumpkin patch and sweets my almost 4 year old was in heaven. My almost 2 year old was a bit young for it all, but he's happy to be involved in any of his sisters activities.

You can expect to go thru a lot of dough here. We blew thru $40 of tickets ($1 per ticket) in about an hour and it was mostly for one kid.

The carnival type of food didn't look too appetizing (think corn dogs) so we stopped for lunch at once upon a grill on the way home, but
