The Scoop

I only recently learned about the maple creemee and it may likely be an objective of mine to try to sample different ones from wherever I can across the state! The Scoop's rendition was good--not overly sweet (which is good), but sometimes couldn't quite make out the maple flavor. Still delicious though, and if I am ever back in the area, I'd maybe try the maple/black raspberry twist which seems to also be recommended.

Honestly, this place probably has the best ice cream in the greater Chittenden county area. 100% goes toe to toe with Ben & Jerry's.

First time visitor and was impressed with the friendly service and selection of unique ice cream flavors. They even had a couple daily special flavors. You get huge scoops for a decent price.
Located, or part of, Archie's Restaurant. Easy to find a place to park in their big lot. Plan on returning.

Biggest issue was lack of variety. Not as many flavors as I expected, nor as many dry toppings. Tasted ok. Price was as expected.

Amazing ice cream! Kind workers, and super light and creamy ice creams which dont taste artificial or sugary! Absolutely delicious

I love the scoop! Everyone in there is always so friendly and the ice cream is incredible. They have gluten free and vegan options as well which is a huge bonus! You can never go wrong with their homemade delicious ice cream! HIGHLY recommend!

I will say they have good ice cream...sadly that's all I can say in a positive manner. When I visited both last summer and yesterday I had the same experience, the staff is made up of teenagers (which is fine) but they all just stood there in an awkward manner and had no clue what to do, how to help etc. There were five people behind the counter and only one was scooping and helping customers. They were out of several flavors and waffle cones which is always frustrating. But I just couldn't get past how dumbfounded the staff were. Wake up, learn to be social and have a sense of customer

Very pleasant experience, so clean and professional. I got two a two scoop waffle cone and the s'mores was super chocolatey but in a good way. The gold rush(I think) was probably one of the best I've creams over ever had it was vanilla based and it was just very amazing. I would definitely go back if I am up that way.

This ice cream was IMPECCABLE. We got two double scoops - one with White Gold/Biscoff Cookie, one almond joy/cherry chocolate chunk. (They were out of Maple Heath!) Not sure why White Gold had the least votes for best flavor!?! We both LOVED our flavors and the environment! Will be coming back soon! Great value!!

There are many days that I just want a nice oversized, chunk-filled cone of hard, scooped ice cream. I mean, gelato can be great, and sure, I like soft serve and fro yo, but it's become far too difficult these days to get a good old fashioned scoop or two of keepin-it-real New England dairy. This place provides. Great flavors and nice places to sit outside.

Delicious ice cream, plenty of choices( I had an incredible black raspberry chip and chocolate peanut butter). Great service from the young gal working solo with a great attitude.
Has a very large amount of seating because of the outdoor area. Attached to a burger joint, so a perfect place for a special treat for lunch/dinner/dessert. Definitely a place to make time for when in the Burlington, VT area.

Yummy scoop shop if you are in the neighborhood! They have a great selection of ice cream, milkshakes, floats and toppings! The kiddie soft service black raspberry creemee is my favorite! It's the perfect size, as the large is too big! The staff is always friendly. There is very little seating indoors but lots of spots outside on their patio or in the open fields. There is a restaurant located inside as well with traditional American food. The missing star is due to its location. The ice cream shop is a little out of the way from Burlington and is a little pricey compared to other locations

Nice little ice cream place. Area was clean, only a couple of stools along a counter to sit. Prices were very reasonable. Ample parking. Staff was nice and friendly. Ice cream was good; vegan options were available. They also offered a gluten free cone. All your usual toppings and flavors of ice cream.

We live in Shelburne and have been here quite a few times. The soft serve are very good. I think tonight when we went about 8:15 p.m. a new person was working??? We ordered large soft serve and for $7.09 they were the size of small. I said to the guy that these certainly were not a large. He said, they have a lot of air as the machine is running out, sorry. Really? Sorry? If you are going to give me a small, at least give me my money back for the large. Stinky visit, perhaps the next will be better.

My family visited this ice cream place after my sisters graduation. There was a lot of turnout when we visited, and the weather was very good as well. I had the cookies and cream ice cream, and it was really good. The service was also very good, and it was overall a great experience.

Excellent location open year round. Creemees 6 flavors in season. Hard ice cream, milkshakes, Sundaes - many flavors to chose from. Offering a few vegetarian new flavors this year. My favorites​:. Chocolate vanilla twist creemees and Brownie Sundae with Peppermint stick ice cream!

Excellent ice cream! Lots of flavors to choose from! Good portion sizes, the cones are delicious. Priced very well for house made ice cream!!! Customer service was great, associate was attentive and had knowledge in what was available! Will definitely go back to try other flavors!

We hit up this place after getting Archies for our date night. I've been here about three times, every time prior to this visit has been stellar. Friendly service, amazing ice cream, cute shop! What more could you ask for? This last visit was not the same as the previous visits.

There was a short line but made the place seem packed, there was a older women out to get ice cream with what I assume are her grandchildren, multiple times during her exchanges with the cashier she was treated quite rudely, they seemed short with her, impatient and I was pretty surprised. Wow, this place is epitome of VT hospitality. We went in and asked to sample some flavors, and they gave us mini cup to sample! In NYC, the amount in those sample cups could be called kiddie size.

But then and again, their flavors are amazing, so if you sample, it's likely you'll buy something. Everything is homemade there, and it sure tastes better than most places I have been to. The ice cream was not too sweat and had the right creaminess.

Their creamies (soft serve) is also super delicious. If you are into soft serve, definitely try it!

Wonderful addition to the ice cream and creemee shops in this part of Vermont. Just opened next door to Archies. Lots of parking. Outdoor seating. Great selection of wonderful ice cream and creemees. And you can order their ice cream from Archies as well. We will be back to try other favors. Nice servers as well.
