I think there is a growing amount of people in the south that are starving for some teachings that the Kosala Buddhist center offers. Keep doing what you're doing, it is greatly appreciated. And thank you Ethan for the words of wisdom 🙏.

Kosala teachers are not ordained, they don't follow the Dalia Lama, and they emphasize payment. Proceed with careful attention to your intuition and with discernment.

I looked into many other Buddhist traditions and teachers over the years before I found the New Kadampa Tradition. I have been a part of several centers and have always found wonderful and sincere practioners and teachers there. Now that I am living in Chapel Hill, Kosala has been no exception to my experience.

The teachings offer practical tools on how to have a beautiful and peaceful mind and the meditations offer a sense of spaciousness and love in your heart. I wanted to find a community to help me establish and maintain my meditation practice. I have found this and much more. I have found a teacher well versed in the New Kadampa tradition, a practice that helps people who lead busy, in-the-world lives. It has helped me in so many practical ways to live in ways that help others and myself. It's also very fun and has a sense of humor!!
