State of the Heart is our monthly vodcast series in which we explore themes of health-related foundational beliefs, policy development and implementation, and current/future practices with subject matter experts from across Kansas. These themes are grouped in four distinct topic areas: Community, Care, Network and Kansas.
Community Care Network of Kansas is comprised of health centers and community-based clinics with a common goal of providing high-quality healthcare that is accessible to all Kansans. Since 1989, our membership has collaborated to help educate lawmakers on healthcare and health policy issues, advocated for funding, and promoted the availability of services statewide.
Our members - health centers and community clinics - exist to serve their patients with community-based, whole-person, comprehensive care. Communities take comfort in knowing that personal healthcare doesn't have to be pushed to the limits before seeking services - care can and should be proactive, preventive and inclusive.
The impact of Community Care Network of Kansas' work is enhanced by strong partnerships and generosity from a variety of supporters that include health foundations, state and federal agencies, universities, and advocacy groups. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) / Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC).
Our stance is that everyone needs and deserves care. We are leaders in promoting the best access to quality care and increase the quality of life for all. Change means we are an active voice in educating lawmakers about healthcare needs across Kansas. Together, as educators, advocates and innovators, we believe we must unite across industries and platforms in the interest of bringing comprehensive healthcare to Kansans across the state.
