Hometown Health Center
Website
Hometown Health Center (HHC) was established as Sebasticook Family Doctors (SFD) in 2003 when Sebasticook Valley Hospital was awarded a Federally Qualified Health Center grant. Prior to becoming an FQHC, the organization was a medical facility under Sebasticook Valley Hospital called The Family Doctors with locations in Dexter and Canaan.

In 2016, Sebasticook Family Doctors was renamed Hometown Health Center. HHC now operates three locations, Dexter, Newport, and a School-Based Health Center for RSU19 students at Nokomis Regional High. Our services have expanded and our goal of providing a high-quality and comfortable medical home for our communities has been met.
Services
Patients are able to be seen by another provider within HHC if it best meets their needs or preferences. If needed, HHC will accommodate patients for urgent or routine care at another location within the organization based upon available extended hours. Please contact us at 1-866-364-1366 if you have any questions or if you would like to schedule an appointment.
The vision of our Community Health Center is to be a corporation of excellence in collaboration with our community partners. We will strive to be the best health center in our state and beyond with affordable accessible primary health care in a manner that exceeds patient expectations. The Mission of our Health Center is to provide high quality, cost effective, comprehensive primary and preventative health care in the communities we serve.
What does this mean for you? We build a foundation based on a team approach to our patients' physical and mental health care needs. We care for the whole patient by getting to know their individual needs, vision, values, and living preference. Our facilities and providers are accessible through extended office hours, minimized wait times, same-day appointments, weekend hours, on-call providers, and a patient portal.
Dr. Israel Adeloye, DMD, says he loves public health because he was once a recipient of public health services. He loves science and working with his hands and dentistry is a unique way of giving back. He went to the University of Illinois, Tufts School of Dental Medicine for Dentistry, and Tufts School of Medicine for Public Health.
The goal of this site is to provide you with resources and information that will help you navigate the maze of the ever challenging healthcare environment. As healthcare in our country changes, HHC continually scans the needs of the community to ensure that we are serving you the very best way we can.

My wife booked a dental appointment 2 months ago for both of us. The only reason we went with them was because everyone else was booked up for 6 months. When we arrived, we found out that they had scheduled her for an "intake" appointment with a regular medical doctor. She literally spent at least an hour with the receptionist booking the appointment. She was absolutely clear that it was for dental. When we arrived the guy at the window said "Uh, you can call." Call who? Call the office when we are already there in person? We traveled 45 minutes to get there for a dental appointment that they never

Customer service is the worst I have ever felt with in my life. No one should have to wait for a refill when you call 2 week's prior for the refill & still be without medication for 5 day's, just because some incompetent person or people didn't do there job. The lack of communication in this office is awful.

Update: 12/10/21. My fiance has been fighting a severe sinus infection. He's had 2 rounds of antibiotics and anti inflammatory. They ran out and the next day he started having severe headaches again. He called Wednesday morning, got no response back. He called again Thursday morning, still nothing. He called again this morning to find out that the doctor isn't in today, so now he has to wait all weekend!! This is not acceptable! I guess we may have to go to the already over worked ER. Someone dropped the ball again!
Update: I rely on KVCAPP to get to my apts. Anyone that has had experience with

UPDATE:
I filed a complaint with the patient experience department at this office and was assured that the phony bills and neglectful claim filing would be handled and that the office would cover the expense and yet I received another bill in the mail for $140 regarding these claims. And no follow up from the complaint office. And I find it very comical that this office will reply to the positive reviews but never addresses the negative ones. Absolutely horrible patient service and experience.
I have been seeing a provider here for over a year, and this will be the 5th time that they have neglected

I followed Dr. Michael MacDonald here from Brunswick because he is a great physician. He takes the time to listen and he does his homework. The staff is also attentive and friendly. Some people just write reviews to complain. This is a wonderful rural health care center.

A lot of people tend to only write reviews when they have a bad experience. I've decided that I'm going to write positive ones as well.
I've been taking all three of my children here for years! I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with all of the providers. They have been helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating. Lindsay Norton has been an amazing addition to their healthcare family. My kids adore her.

I’ve been a new patient and have been going here for under a year now and I can’t tell you how upsetting being a patient here has been for me. My ANP is Dorothy O’keefe. I have never been seen by a dr here and my first visit involved what they do best, write prescriptions. It’s always scary when someone wants to change your medications, and upon voicing my concern, I was told my next visit wouldn’t be for another three months, which would give me time to see if the medicine works for me or not. Well I learned within ten days that gabberpentin made my head feel “odd”. So now I was

I read the bad reviews and it seems pretty accurate. I always got good service and friendly smiles. But then again, I am always calm and patient and peoples' bad attitudes don't really affect me. They offer sliding fee scales for medical and dental which is pretty cool. Their dentist was awesome a long time ago. I give them credit for trying with the dental side of things. It is hard for them to find a dentist that is willing to work for low income patients since dentists mostly care about money. The hygienists are nice and professional, but their turnover is pretty high since most of the employees

I've had terrible experiences here in the past, but they have been a lot better for the last year or 2. I love Lindsey and Serenity. If Serenity ever leaves, I'll follow her anywhere in the state.

Worst office in the world. If the doctor isn't there holding the secretary's hand, nothing gets done right. They constantly screw up your files, and when you bring it to their attention they get ignorant and make it your fault and find a way to discredit you. In my case, they put in my file that I was a drug addict without any type of drug test. I was labeled before they even knew me. They are my first doctor ever so how did they come up with that Without a drug test or any prior medications? I would not ever in my life tell anyone to go to this doctors office. And it's not just the Newport location
