Our complete materials laboratory includes the specialized equipment and apparatus necessary to perform ASTM, AASHTO and specific Department of Transportation and Federal agency tests.WesTest participates in the AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL) and the Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL) national laboratory inspection and proficiency sample programs.

WesTest provides technicians and equipment to perform gradations and physical property tests of material being crushed, screened and washed for use in asphalt, Portland cement concrete, crushed aggregate base course or for general construction. We can also monitor aggregate specific gravity, angularity and hardness to ensure the material being stockpiled is consistent.
WesTest can provide geotechnical engineering evaluations to determine the suitability of a site for the proposed construction and to provide general construction guidelines and recommendations for budgeting purposes. Determine the viability of mining alluvial deposits or stone. Evaluations provide estimates of minable quantities, overburden ratios, dewatering requirements, aggregate quality evaluation and permitting feasibility.
The construction materials laboratory at WesTest specializes in materials testing for the construction industry. Our full service laboratory is equipped with the latest equipment for aggregate quality evaluation and testing for Portland cement concrete, hot mix asphalt, and general construction use.
At WesTest, our laboratory is professionally equipped and AASHTO accredited in order to accommodate your aggregate testing needs. Our aggregate testing and construction material testing services are thorough, extensive, and result driven. We are able to verify fill-application materials being used in sub bases, base courses, riprap, asphalt, Portland cement, and other concrete mix designs.
