Started by Jim and Barbara Quirion in 2005, Alternative Energy has served the area for Seventeen years. CONFUSED ABOUT NEGATIVE COMMENTS ON YELP AND ELSEWHERE…. I FOUND OUT THIS BUSINESS IS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT ….ANY NEGATIVE REVIEWS WERE CLEARLY MADE PREVIOUS TO THIS CREW TAKING OVER! I needed someone quickly to repair my gas fireplace (used to supplement heat in my home)and AE fit me into their schedule. Person on the phone was friendly and compassionate.
Dylan was by far the best repair/service/representative that I have run into in my 35 years as a home owner. He was patient and explained my system to me ( this is newly purchased home) and I finally know the how to and what about the system

I called Alternative Energy Hearth & Patio Shoppe a couple weeks ago regarding cleaning/inspecting my wood stove insert. We recently moved into our house and Alternative Hearth & Patio Shoppe sold & installed the stove for the original owners a few years ago. After a lot of run around we they were able to locate the information for our stove and were told "someone would call us back in a week to schedule the cleaning & inspection." I left an additional message with the company after a week had passed, and now, two weeks later I still haven't received a call. Any business should return any call

I like to support local businesses and I've used Alternative Energy Hearth and Patio Shoppe a few times now. Most recently for a Valor L1 fireplace to be installed in my home. Barbara willingly worked up a decent price and Jim promised a technician would be out to my house the next day. Ten days later my fireplace has been installed and even my builder commented on the professionalism.

So dissapointed . I have a voice disorder and was psyched that they had a Facebook page because it’s a great way for peeps like me to do business ( via messenger) but it only wasted my time caused an issue with my life partner and got me ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE . I’ll go elsewhere and pay more for actual service . Super bummed . Seriosly poor service & ZILCH EFFORT TO HELP ME.
